This dynasty will be the story of two brothers that were seperated when their dad left their mom and moved to Michigan from Minnesota. Steven who was ordered by the courts to stay with his mom in Minnesota grew up playing running back and grew to two inches shorter than his brother Duane. Their dad Leon, was a 6-3 220 pound corner back in college playing for Michigan. Leon moved to Michigan with Duane to take a job as an assistant coach. As they got older the brothers would meet at Christmas and Easter when they would alternate from house to house to visit the parents. Both were coached into football by their dad. When college came however Steven was ranked 12 in the nation and was highly recruited. While Duane was ranked 186. This didnt matter as they wanted to attend the same college. They only talked when they seen each other twice a year and when a phone call was placed to wish a happy birthday to their mom, and thanksgiving. On september the 4th the phone rang and it was Duane calling to wish mother a happy birthday. Steven talked to him for a half an hour about how many colleges were offering him, since his junior year they had been sending him letters. Duane had said he hadnt gotten as many but that they should go to Michigan since their father worked there and they could both easily get in. That was the plan until Thanksgiving when the next call came, Duane had accepted an offer from Notre Dame just after they had talked in september due to a fight with their father because of him pressuring too much, and other life issues. This was ok, seeing as Steven had an offer from their also, along with a few bribes that we was taking from them(Among many others). He quickly accepted and that begins the college career of Steven and Duane.

Duane England 6-1 180
High School stats
72 Catches for 1714 yards and 15 TDs
He is a pretty fast reciever and can return kicks like no other. He did not play any defense. He took on his fathers height and his mothers skinny stature. He will be looking to get stronger so he might be able to muscle these D-1 Corners.
Steven England 5-11
Highschool stats
279 Rushes for 1709 yards and 11 TDS
56 Receptions for 874 yards and 7 TDS
63 tackles and 5 sacks
Steven taking his fathers size and his mothers height is the oppsite of Duane. Still he is a rather tall running back, he relys on his stiff arm and amzing agility for that tall of a player, also he has a power run like no other. He will be looking to bulk up so Notre Dame can have a possesion guy in their Single Back formation.
Notre Dame finished 9-3. The clincher is that they beat Michigan which is a reason why the brothers chose this school. They realized they didnt want their father looking after them and that this would still leave them close to home. Also with formation and status of Notre Dame the boys could still both play vital roles at Notre Dame and compete for the championship.

Notre Dame finished the season ranked at 16. One ahead of Michigan. They also landed the 67th ranked class which will hurt a little. Now on to next season.

Steven Added 11 pounds and now weighs 201. He is getting bigger and trying to fill the power posession back that Notre Dame wants. He also has gotten faster. He is running a decent 40 now at 4.42. He is looking to return punts next year after the redshirt is gone. Duane added only a pound, but he has shown considerable progress in catching and will be challenging for the 2nd reciever spot after his redshirt also wears off.
other notes: Michigan and Notre Dame play week 2 this year.

Season 2005
Notre Dame dissapointed the brothers by starting 1-2 and losing to Michigan 63-0, only more for their father to rub in their faces at thanksgiving. But they get the last laugh as ND finished 16 and Michigan finished 28. ND had a 9-3 record. They were among the top of the league in rushing yards, much tothe appreciation of Steven. Although the top two running backs graduated now, they look to be strong next year and Steven looks to be the factor there.

Season 2006 Preview
Steven
He Gained a few more pounds this year and sits at 208. He looks to be the starting running back going into the opening week. He lost some speed due to the added muscle but has gained more power. He will also be returning punts around a quarter of the time.
Duane
Duane has gotten up to 186 and is looking to burn the corners of Michigan in the week 3 game to show his dad what he has been taught. He will be looking at the number 3 spot for reciever and will be starting Kickoff returner.
Notre Dame
Will start with a hard schedule taking on California-Los Angeles in the 2nd week and Michigan in the 3rd. They look to make past the Major Bowl stage this year and lead the nation in Total Offense.

Week 1
Opening against NC state. Steven had a run of 7 and a catch of 20on the first drive before the QB fumbled and NCST recovered. the rest of was lackluster as neither Steven or Duane did anything amazing. ND drops this easy game 17-18.
Stats-
Steven 17-49, 4-45 1TD, 1 fumble and 1 PR for 10 Yards.
Didnt Perform as welll as hoped but did get a respectable amount of carries and did score a touchdown. Also had more cathes than Duane.
Duane 1-16, 3 returns for 78 yards
Not a bad game seeing as he played for 10plays and only got thrown to once.
Notes-
They both caught every ball thrown to them. The quaterback went 17-20 and
246 yards and 2 tds. Yet they just couldnt get it done on the ground.
Next game against last years National Champions.

11-24-2004, 06:18 PM
Week 2
They just get torched 45-10. Mazur had another game of lackluster performance. They need to start running the ball better and put together more established drives if they are going to win next week.
Steven- 20-64, 1 PR for 3 yards 5 stokes.
Had a better running game but didnt catch a pass, although only one was thrown to him. Needs to start running more upfield and just power it through instead of juking all over the place, these guys at this level can tackle better than high school players.
England- 1 Rush for 14, 3 returns for 69 yards 0 Stokes
Had five passes thrown to him but he didnt drop any yet he still couldnt come up with them. Gets his first rush of the year and gets a first down not too bad. Returns rather respectable and gets a 23 yard average.
Notes- Its either all or nothing on the receiving end as 6 targets and no catches. Michigan is only allowing 1.25 yards per carry this will be interesting.

Week 3
Duane is going to start at 2nd reciever due to a torn ligament to the normal guy and looks to be there the rest of the year. Michigan gets out of the gate at 24-0 and looks to be taking the upper hand to ND, while neither of the brothers have had any huge plays, just little receptions. It doesnt get much better 41-0 and Duane fumbles the kickoff and Michigan recovers. it ends at 41-0 and this is an embarrasment.
Steven 13-5, 3-28 4 stokes
Played horrible but was the leading receiver and the whole team played bad so you cant blame the loss on him but they better start blocking and he better start running before the backup gets to come in.
Duane 2-16, 4 KR for 68 0 stokes
Didnt play well at all and needs to step up in this starting role to keep it.
nfg22

Week 4
The game starts out and Perdue leads 16-0 at the half but none the less the brothers have been playing well, accounting for almost all the offense and the drives they have had have been wrecked by interceptions and fumbles by the quaterback. In the second half the defense finally stops Perdue and Steven runs the ball down their throats and finally scores on an 18 yard reception. After another interception by ND Steven runs for 7 yards on 3 attempts and ND kicks an FG and the score is 10-16. The defense then holds Perdue to a FG making it 10-19. after an exchange of punts the quaterback fumbles and Perdue scores. Perdue goes on to win 40-10
Steven 23-124, 3-41 Stokes 8
Had his best game yet and was pretty much the only offense this team had.
Duane 1- minus 3, 2-19, 3KR for 61 0 Stokes
Had another lackluster game but he didnt make any big mistakes Either

11-24-2004, 07:00 PM
Week 5
An easy game against Western Michingan. To start out the teams exchange punts then Steven puts it in fron 1 yard out making it 7-0. Steven has a 43 yard run one drive later but the backup comes in cause he got tired on it and puts it in from 10 yards out. 14-0. In the middle of the second Steven puts it in from 1 yard out. The end is 35-0 as ND dominates
Steven 29-148 2TD 9 stokes
Had a great game again just rushing at will. Had two touchdowns. He is now building momentum and is looking toward another 100 yard game.
Duane 1-5, 1-5
Rushed and caught one for 5, he didnt play much of a factor but how could he when the rushing game went so well.

Week 7
Temple is another easy win. We come out and hit 14-0. Duane caught a47 yard TD pass for the 2nd TD and a 66 yarder for the 1st. W go into the half 28-13. Steven is ripping it up and England hasnt had another catch since the 2ndTD. Duane Catches another to go up 49-20 early in the fourth.
Steven 28-145, 2-15, 1PR-8 9 stokes
Another stellar running game, on the heels of his brother. He really opened up the passing game. If he can continue to run like this he will be able to pick up 1000 yards this season.
Duane 5-159 3TD, 4KR -84 2 stokes
He has a career game and garners more TDs in one game than anyone else has had all season. Finally a performance to out do his brother.
nfg22

Week 8
We stop them after the opening kickoff and drive down the field while Steven runs it in from 2 yards out. We go into the half up 14-0. The quarterback throws an interception after temple had just scored. They go down field and score once more 14-14 at the end of the 3rd. after an exchange of punts, Steven runs a few for 20 yards and we get a field goal 17-14. Game ends at the same score.
Steven 27-109, 5-36 1TD 9 Stokes
Steven has another 100 plus game and also leads in receptions. He is looking much better lately. He has his share of stuffs but he is breaking the big ones and to mention almost all those receptions come on third down.
Duane 1-10, 2KR-45
Another lackluster game, He isnt consistent but hopefully he can be clutch when we need him in the next few games.
nfg22
11-24-2004, 09:17 PM
Week 10
We pick off a pass and return it for a touchdown on the 2nd play of the game to make it Brigham Young 0, Notre Dame 7. Steven comes up with 2 clutch 3rd down plays and we get a field goal 10-0. They score on a long pass 10-7, we have a drive stopped after 6 downs but Duane recovers a fumble on the punt return. Off that we score another field goal 13-7. Wetrade a touchdown for a field goal. 21-10. We get an intercepion and Steven breaks a 45 yard run for a TD.
Steven 29-227 1TD, 1-11 Stokes 9
This has been his greatest game yet. Thisputs his average yards per game at 108. At this rate he will break into the NFL. Now he just needs to throw some half back options to his brother.
Duane 1-9, 1KR-16
His second game in a row without an impact. He needs to step it up to measure up to his brother and to his competition.

Week 13
Week 13 at Conneticut. After the defense almost let a touchdown, Steven comes in a rushes like mad then Duane runs an 11 yard reverse followed by Steven running for more. Steven 30-164 2TD, 2-19 9 Stokes
Again another stellar performance. Having a number of big runs and just kept on pounding all day. He is now up to 210 pounds and still has his blazing speed. Now if he could just catch a few more balls.
Duane 2-20, 4-91, 4KR-115 1 Stoke
He has an alright game this week and returned the ball very well, while running a few times and picking up a few key receptions.
nfg22
11-25-2004, 06:52 PM
Week 14
Boston College scores first, but on the third drive of the game Steven has a few nice runs and Duane gets a nice catch and we get a field goal. 7-3. Boston scores again this time a field goal. After a botched return by Duane, Steven takes it 93 yards for a touchdown. In the end we lose 13-10.
Steven 21-177,2PR for -3 yards. 7 Stokes
Has an astounding game, breaking a 93 yard TD contributed to this great rushing game he had. He is looking to break into the NFL at this rate.
Duane 2-33, 3KR for 84
Another dull game, but no one caught more than him because this QB is nothing special. Next year he should do better when the new QB is off the redshirt.
nfg22
11-25-2004, 07:11 PM
Week 15
The game against billing starts off with a 25 yard run by Steven, yet the drive is stopped by an interception from the QB. The next drive he runs another 37 yards in one play. He finally punches it in from 10 yards out. We get the ball back and he runs a few more for good yardage and we get a field goal. 10-0. Another drive dominated by Steven results in a touchdown by the starting receiver. 17-0. The same receiver runs a reverse for a touchdown in the middle of the 3rd, after a score by Billings.24-7. A few catches by Duane sets up a TD for the backup running back. 31-7. Another touchdown by the backup running back. 38-7. And that’s the way the game ends.
Steven 35-240 1TD, 6 Stokes
Another high yardage game, but others got the TD’s that he worked for. This is a great game and shows how well he can play even with a lot of carries. Also mentioned he gathered most of that in the yards before the 2nd half. Bad news is he will miss the bowl game with a sprained ankle. He will be back next year though.
Duane 5-46
Again gathers the most catches but you cant expect much more when the running game gets 45 runs and 350 yards.
nfg22
11-25-2004, 07:42 PM
Major Bowl
Colorado State quickly drives and takes the lead.0-7. After another touchdown against we finally get them back with one of our own. Our backup RB scored it. 7-14. Duane gathers in a pair of catches as the backup RB scores again. 14-14. Duane grabs a few more but we lose in OT. 28-31.
Steven- DID NOT PLAY
Duane- 1-7, 8-146, 2KR-57 4 stokes.
The pass game blossomed without Steven there. 355 yards of which Duane gathered 146. He played well and showed he can be a premier reciever.

Recap of 2006
Steven stats. 11GS 272-1452 7 TD, 20-195 3TD, 5PR-18
Had a stellar year averaging over 5 yards a carry, he missed the last game because of a sprained ankle. He will look to the new QB to open things up. He could be a heisman candidate if he gets a few more carries and TD's.
Duane 8-49, 32-550 3TD, 29 KR -677
Had an ok year but was really clutch and came through on a few key drives as well has having good returns when we needed them. He will probobly drop down in play time this year as he might be passed by some younger players.

Preview 2007
Well this season gets a little harder to write for seeing as I was fired from ND so I will have to watch from another team. But it looks as if Steven is the starter easily and Duane is playing some backup. Steven has become the heaviest RB on his team at 213. While Duane hovers at 190. They carry a 3.87 and a 3.77 GPA.

Week 2
After a big stop on the first drive ND comes out firing against California/Los Angeles with a 31 yard play only to have an unsportman like conduct take it back. CLA breaks a 41 yard TD on a 2nd and 28.0-7. Next drive Steven runs 7 times and gets the final TD. 7-7. CLA has notrouble running down field for another TD for their running back. This might be a battle today between the backfield. after a stopped drive ND gives another touchdown up to CLA's running back, but this time on a pass. 7-21. ND cant seem to score but CLA has one more for their RB.7-28.Now we are in the last 2nd quarter. The new QB starts with a 47 yard pass and ND gets a field goal. 10-28. But CLA cant be stopped on the ground one more TD for the RB.10-35. Game is more blow out with no contributions by either of the brothers. final score 13-56
Steven 12-30 1TD, 2-19
Duane 1-12, 4KR-97

I am going to a quicker write up that focuses more on the brothers and takes less time to do so I can move this along faster as I am very impatient.
