FBCB is the best for college
there alot of threads on FBCB....do a search and you will see all the postive things about FBCB
plus there a free demo full evaluation for 3 days
i highly recommend it...
and i love TPB 2005 for pro basketball...

Ok here's The end to all the quesion:
Do both games have an All-Time League almanac...
what I mean is : Track everyplayers stats throughput the leagues history....that is all.

just out of curiosity, if i wanted to go back and look at a player's stats after he's gone, how do i do that in FBCB? I've never been able to find a way to do that, yet jbmagic's post indicates that I've been missing something.

Unless things changed recently, I don't think you can go back and look up stats of graduated players. Your top players will show up on your team's records charts, but I didn't think the graduated players' stats stay in the game.
What I would do is print the player cards of graduating players and store them in a Word file. The print feature is slick in FBCB: everything opens neatly in a Notepad window. It's cake to print/copy to Word anything you want. With only a couple of players graduating each year, it takes only a few seconds to update my Word file at the end of each season. Not a perfect solution, but it worked for me.

Does that roster include all / most player stats and team histories?

That was inaccurate. So far it hasn't been added because of the amound of space it would take up. 1 season from the college game is probaby 12 times the space of one pro season.

for TPB 2005
yes, it has all history, retire jersey, player career stats, etc
irishhand does very good job on the real player roster and ratings..very realistic...

Both are very well done, imo. FBCB speaks for itself, just do a search. TPB 2k5 is quite a game and I've enjoyed it immensely.
