I have a feeling that I am going to see waayyyy too many of these games. I would say that I will watch all or partsof 24. Games that will probably not get a glance
Marshall/Cincy

I will watch a little bit of all of them (also thanks to TIVO) however, I only expect to watch maybe 8 or 10 to the end.

Other -- who knows for sure? Hell, I usually don't know if I'm gonna see the next 15 minutes of whatever I'm watching, much less know what I might or might not find both time & inclination to watch over the course of a month.
That thought aside, I'll probably see at least part of every game between now & the final weekend, and at least some portion of most of those. That's based on the fact that I watched more minutes of bowl games last year than I had watched in any prior year. I don't watch because I particularly give a damn, I watch because it's something to have on for background noise.

I voted 11-15, but certainly won't watch them from start to finish.
Rose and Sun are my favorites.

I'll set aside time to watch the Dawgs, Tech, and Auburn. Others, I may or may not be watching, depending on what I'm doing that particular moment.
OU/USC
AUB/VT
Tex/U of M
Miami/Fla
Wvu/FSU
Cal/T.Tech
I am not sure about the other match ups but I doubt I watch em..

4 BCS Games.

My must-sees, from most important to least:
WVU-FSU
Louisville-Boise State
Oklahoma-USC
Va Tech-Auburn
BC-UNC
Pitt-Utah
Marshall-Cincinnati
UCONN-Toledo
Syracuse-GT
I guess my priorities are WVU first, BE & new Big East(with a special eye on the Liberty Bowl b/c I think it will be one of the best matchups and the Ft Worth Bowl b/c Cincy is joining the Big East and I hate Marshall), UNC (because they are my new hometown team), and then the BCS games (except Texas-Michigan doesn't really do much for me).

Do you think that the non-BCS bowls, which they are talking about, should elimate the bowl tie-ins and go with a "drafting" system instead.
It would create a far more exciting bowl season in terms of the matchups.

I wouldn't mind changing the bowl-ties. I get tired of seeing the same teams in the same bowls and I would be more likely to go to more of WVU's bowls if they played in some different cities.

I'll actually watch a lot this year just because I love football, and they're on. :)
Even though I think there are some pretty bad match-ups, I'll watch a lot of them.

After saying "who plans this stuff ahead", I got curious what I would reasonably expect to do ... so I decided to look at the list and give it some thought.
Dec. 14th New Orleans - North Texas vs Southern Miss
Okay, this ain't whatcha' call a marquee matchup ... but it's on a Tuesday night, what the heck else is on?
Dec 21st Champs Sports - Georgia Tech vs Syracuse
Tech's my team, so this is an easy one, one of the two "must-see games" of bowl season for me
Dec 22nd GMAC - Memphis vs Bowling Green
Okay, this ain't whatcha' call a marquee matchup ... but it's on a Wednesday night, what the heck else is on?
Dec 23rd Fort Worth - Cincinnati vs Marshall
First-half of a Thursday bowl double-header ... I know that I can pretty much catch re-runs of my usual weeknight fare of History Channel/Cartoon Network/Nat'l Geog/ whatever, so why not watch this?
Dec 23rd - Las Vegas - UCLA vs Wyoming
2nd half of aforementioned doubleheader, the TV will already be on, so I'm not likely to change the channel. First game where we get power conf. vs not-power-conf.,
and those are at least vaguely more interesting to me than a pair of have-nots.
Dec 24th - Hawaii - UAB vs Hawaii
It's Christmas Eve, my in-laws will be here, good distraction after a day full of making conversation
Dec 27th - MPC Computer(Boise) - Virginia vs Fresno State
First iffy game on the list for me. 2pm on the Monday after Christmas seems like a strange game time. I rather expect I'll be working, so bits & pieces are the most I can really hope for, and maybe none at all if I get busy & it slips my mind. Disappointing, since this is the first ACC team in action since GT.
Dec 27th - Motor City - UConn vs Toledo
Same problem as above, this time with a 530 kickoff. A real stretch for me to figure on seeing much of this one.
Dec 28th - Independence - Iowa State vs Miami(OH)
Biggest yawner for me since Dec 13th. With a 630 kickoff on Wednesday night, I call this one doubtful.
Dec 28th - Insight - Oregon State vs Notre Dame
Go ... well, "Go-whoever-ain't-ND". Likely viewing
Dec 29th - Houston - Colorado vs UTEP
I don't like the 430 kickoff, again, am I the only guy expecting to work between 12/25/04 & 1/3/05? But if I get a chance, I'll catch at least some of this, since CU was expected to be GT's opponent at one point.
Dec 29th - Alamo - Oklahoma State vs Ohio State
Arguably the highest profile schools to play since the start of bowl season.
Nighttime start, recognizable teams, easy to flip this one on & watch.
Dec 30th - Continental Tire - BC vs UNC
ACC team, even I've given up the notion of getting much work done on the Friday before New Year's, even the 1pm kickoff doesn't bother me here
Dec 30th - Emerald - Navy vs New Mexico
Might see a little of this, best Navy team in a while. But even idle curisoity doesn't make this one a guaranteed viewing.
Dec 30th - Holiday - Cal vs Texas Tech
If I'm not out to dinner or something, I'll watch this one pulling hard for Texas Tech to beat the crap out of Cal & abruptly cut off the whining coming from the left coast. First game other than Notre Dame & not involving an ACC team that I'll really be pulling hard for one team or another.
Dec 30 - Silicon Valley - NIU vs Troy
If I'm not disgusted by the outcome of the previous game, I'll stick with this one & pull for the little Alabama school
Dec 31st -
Music City - Alabama vs Minnesota
Sun - Arizona State vs Purdue
Liberty - Boise State vs Louisville
Peach - Miami vs Florida
New Year's Eve, not much overlap in scheduling, I can easily see myself turning on the TV for the first game & watching straight through until the end of the last one.
Jan 1st -
Cotton - Tennessee vs Texas A&M
My wife is a UT alum, so this is the other must-see TV game in my house.
Outback - Wisconsin vs Georgia
This one suffers viewing time because it's opposite the UT game. Otherwise, I'd be pulling like mad for UW. I'll be doing that anyway, I just won't see much of the game
Gator - FSU vs WVU
Again, the schedule overlap hurts a game for me. I'll probably see a few minutes of this one, but unless it's really compelling, I'll leave it for the next matchup
Capital One - Iowa vs LSU
Don't know why, but I expect this to be a better game than the Gator. Probably gets a solid viewing time around here.
Rose - Michigan vs Texas
Likely to be on, even if I'm not paying much attention.
Fiesta - Utah vs Pitt
Interesting only if it's close. A blow-out probably changes the channel.
I've overdosed on CFB at this point, and this really is one of those no-win situations for Utah.
Jan 3 - Sugar - Auburn vs Va Tech
Pretty much a slam-dunk, gotta see whether the best team in the country can finish the mission.
Jan 4 - Orange - Oklahoma vs USC
The outcome of the Sugar probably determines how much of this I see. If the Tigers win, these two are playing for 2nd-place in my heart even if not in reality, so I'll be less interested. Still, I'd expect I'd stick around until this one is decided. Once that's done, I'm probably gonna start channel surfing

Yeah, but I LOVE the FSU matchup this year. Bowden versus his old school, that's a great matchup with a great story. The coach of WVU was the offensive coordinator for a Bowden. Good stuff.

Something about the thread title made me think of this...
Colon Blow
Man.....Phil Hartman
[ fade in on a man at a table, eating oat bran cereal from a bowl ]
Announcer: Hold it! Is that what you’re having for breakfast?
Man: Sure, haven't you heard? Fiber is really good for you.
Announcer: Well, there's fiber, and then there's high fiber. Try this.
[ offstage hands replace cereal box with Colon Blow cereal box ]
Man: Hmm.. Colon Blow. Sounds delicious. But is it really higher in fiber than my oat bran cereal?
Announcer: Take a guess: How many bowls of your oat bran cereal would it take to equal the fiber content of one bowl of Colon Blow?
Man: Two?
Announcer: Guess again.
Man: Three?
Announcer: A little higher.
Man: Four?
Announcer: Keep trying.
Man: Five?
Announcer: No, you'll have to do better than that.
Man: Seven?
Announcer: Guess again.
Man: Eight?
Announcer: We'll give you one more guess.
Man: Nine.
Announcer: Not even close. [ table starts shaking ] It would take over 30,000 bowls. [ a giant pyramid of cereal bowls shoots up from under the man, who yells in terror as it rises ] To eat that much oat bran, you'd have to eat ten bowls a day, every day for eight and a half years.
Man: [ after the pyramid settles; shouts from afar ] Wow! I think I get the picture! Colon Blow must be the highest fiber cereal on the market!
Announcer: Not any more, now that there's new Super Colon Blow.
Man: Super Colon Blow?
[ pyramid rises even higher with the man screaming ]
Announcer: It would take over two and a half million bowls of your oat bran cereal to equal the fiber content of one bowl of Super Colon Blow.
[ pyramid settles ]
Man: [ overwhelmed ]I'm convinced! [ looks down the pyramid in panic ]
[ cut to close-up of bowl with Colon Blow and Super Colon Blow boxes ]
Jingle: "Colon Blow and you-u-u-u in the morning"
Announcer: Colon Blow and new Super Colon Blow.
Voiceover: Warning: may cause abdominal distention. Consult a physician.
[ fade to black ]

True. I'm pretty pleased with drawing FSU. It should be interesting w/ the Bowden/WVU dynamic and the two underachieving teams element. Plus, a WVU win over FSU (yes, I know it is a remote possibility) would probably do more for WVU's program than a win over Utah.

Not many. The bowl games just have very little appeal to me, and I'm a pretty fanatical college football fan. It's like watching preseason NFL games - it doesn't really matter who wins.
Having said that, I'll watch UGA, GT, AU, and the "Championship" Game.

I'd love to see Boise State/Louisville. If i'm around when Tech plays I'll definitely watch that. I'll watch UGA with Oliegirl. I really want to see Utah play(haven't had the chance to watch them all year), and i'll watch the Auburn game and the title game probably.
The TV will almost certainly be on college football if we're doing a lot of packing/unpacking and want something on in the background.

That's odd. I love bowl games. I really do, especially when two teams that rarely, if ever, play one another are in a bowl game. I love watching Big Ten teams take on SEC or Big 12 teams. It's so rare that it happens in the regular season, it's fun to watch contrasting styles play against one another. It's also a good barometer (usually) of how strong a particular conference actually was during the year.
I love years when the Big Ten dominates.

That game will be worth watching simply for Jamario Thomas. The kid is amazing...
The only game I'm certain to watch is the EV1.net Houston Bowl since I have tickets to the game. The other bowls will depend upon whether I'm working, whether I have plans with the little lady, and whether I have family in town.
I'll probably only be able to catch a handful of the suckers...
