Not at all. I'm gracious that he took them from 1-15 and built them into a perenially competitive club. Now Bellicheck is another story.

There is a real possibility that the "winner" of the NFC west ends up with a losing record. Seattle's last four games are @MIN, @NYJ, ARI, ATL. St. Louis's last four are @CAR, @ARI, PHI, NYJ. It's certainly possible these two teams both go 1-3. Arizona could then sneak in if they run the table... maybe not.

Bill Parcells did some peculiar things in that game and in general this entire season, such as going for 2 in the 2nd quarter down 14-12. Makes no sense. Then the play he tries is a gadget play which ended up a disaster...

When they play their 3 down lineman dime scheme, why is Carson playing instead of Glover? Glover was causing havoc for much of the game. Matter of fact why is Ngywen playing centerfield LB instead of Coakley?

The reason why Julius Jones looks good is that the Cowboys offensive line has been making holes all year. But no one with the exception occasionally of Richie Anderson can burst in them. Julius has that 2nd gear that no one else on the roster has.

Quincy Morgan is 1/10th of the player Antonio Bryant is. I still am shaking my head on that trade.

Still a great comeback by the Boys despite Vinny forgetting what team he is on once in a while.

What an exciting finish to the game. I got home from work just as the fourth quarter was starting, and was pissed as hell when Alexander broke that long run to make it a ten point game. I even told my girlfriend that the game was over.

I need to learn not to be so hasty. :)

Julius looked great out there tonight. Three straight 30+ carry games, outstanding. Hopefully he'll keep doing that for us the rest of the way so we don't have to spend one of your first rounders on a RB...

Couple of things here... first going for 2 while down by 2 a bad idea? Agreed the play called was laughable (shit they are motioning their 41 year old QB into wideout, let's adjust our coverage and pay him all the attention) but I can't see the logic in kicking the XP. Run Jones up the middle and take the percentage play, or loft one up there for Keyshawn.

Secondly has Coakley ever played middle? Great (in his day anyway) linebacker but has always been undersized. Nguyen has the edge in size and bulk and for his faults is a good sideline to sideline work through traffic tackler. I've always thought him one of the more underrated players in the league.

Couldn't agree more on the line... Al Johnson from Wisconsin looks like a great player in the making and him and Larry Allen just dominated, opening up the holes for Jones on that draw play every single time. Johnson bitched on Isiah Kaczevynski all night long. Allen was moving those big DT's (Moore and #99) around like he did when he was in his prime.

Well, nothing, I guess, unless you like your head coach to send the message to your team that he's so confident that there is no way in hell they will score again that they absolutely have to go for 2 to tie the game...in the second quarter.

Why give up a 99.9% sure point for an (at best) 50% chance at 2 with more than half the game left to go?

Don't agree sorry people time of game shouldn't matter. Only consideration is that a 2 point deficit is not that much more disadvantageous than a 1 point deficit, but a tie game is infinitely better than a 1 or 2 point deficit.

Jason - it's not an issue of not expecting the other team to score again. What is the issue is that you have to plan for the other team matching your score throughout the game, and eventually you have to go for the 2. Why not go for it early with less on the line?

When I'm coaching, if the HC asks for my opinion I go for the 2 every single time. Just not with that play :)

OK, we'll have to agree to disagree. My main point is, an extra point is automatic, a 2-point conversion has a 50-50 shot, at best. I think it's silly to go for 2 until you HAVE to, which means definitely not in the first half (or even third quarter, unless you're getting your ass kicked).
