I had FOF2k4 running fine on my old laptop, but work just gave me a new one. I uninstalled and reinstalled the license onto the new computer, and have all the files (at least I thought) copied into the league file. Now when I load up the game, I had to start a new career, and then when I press load game it gives me the "Unable to load game data file. Saved game is missing."
I copied the most recent files from the d/l section of our league website and put them in the file, why isn't it recognizing them?

What you need to do is start a new MP game WITHOUT your MP files in there (except for the team and city name files), choose the team you're controlling when prompted, (say you're doing an offline draft), hit Ok.
Then exit the program, move the appropriate MP files in, and start up FOF and load your career.
Hope this helps,

You probably need to copy the universe files. If your league doesn't have them posted somewhere, ask another league member to get the frfoot.fcy and frfoot.ini files from them. They should have them in their universe directory, and that's where you should put them.

Yes, I think that is it because I dont see those in my universe files. Now I just need to wait on a League member to send me that! Hopefully it works, thanks.

What questions are you talking about? I am not sure what you are referring to? Are you talking about FOF2k4? My Multiplayer league? Am I wearing any pants right now? Do you think I ask a lot of questions? Why do you feel that way? Should I stop posting questions? I was hoping people could help me out here on a system crash, was that wrong?

OK, not too sure where you are in this thing but I will start from the begining.
Game installed.
Get your leagues universe files and put them into both your League folder and Universe folder.
Open your game, and then the MP box. Start new career.
Enter your leagues ID # and pick your team. Pick "start with draft" and just click ok on the preferences screen. Then just click ok when the box telling you about the Q file pops up. At this point you want to grab your leagues latest game files. Put those into the Leagues folder.
Back in your game you should be able to continue your MP league like you normally do.
