I can't sim games fast enough. I don't know why, but I have to get through seasons as fast as I can. With FOF, the Recommend button is my best friend. I'm sure my haste costs me a lot wheil playing.
How do the rest of you guys play? I'm interested to find out if there are a lot of guys who take a lot of notes as well.

It depends. If you enjoy what you are doing, why change? Sometimes, I'll have a team that is doing just what I expect it to do. I'll set a gameplan in the beginning of the season and it will work to perfection. In those years, I make sure that there are no injuries every week, but pretty much keep it the same.
Other seasons, I just can't get it to work right, and I'll keep tinkering away between games. It really just depends on the team and how attached I feel to it and how much I think that my tinkering will help.

from what i hear
if you simming the games out..is to look at the box score and gamelog of your team only...
then look at your roster and stats for your team....
it really hard to know every player on every team....so just know your team and maybe your division..
and look at the leaderboard, stats, etc
i fine it better to do your own depth chart and gameplans.....you feel more attachment with your team that way..
recommend button is ok , bu ti hear some people say AI will make mistakes on it
doing your own depth chart and gameplan is way better

I usually sim in four game blocks, making adjustments only for injuries. Once I get into the final 3-4 games, I start looking at my team a little closer to see what type of milestones can be reached (1000 yard rusher, 1000 yard receiver, 10+ sacks, etc.) and how close we are to the playoffs.
For me, the fun is in building the team, so I don't think you are alone in quick-simming.

after every week i check for injuries and change the lineup accordingly. i skim the box score to see if anyone is doing great or horribly. i dont change the gameplans, though. i guess it takes somewhere around an hour to do a whole season. the off-season is a different story, though.
that is about how I go too. An hour for the in-season part, offseason, well, it can take a long time :)
