View Full Version : NFL Week 14

I guess I have to take the good with the bad as far as my NFL this week

My local matchups:
Seattle Seahawks at Minnesota Vikings
Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers*

That last one I think is questionable because they usually show all the Broncos game here. Maybe they will so I can cheer my Dolphins to the #2 overall pick! :D

I saw something in the Herald that they would like to pick Benson but they might be concerned with the Texas' crazy RB curse or something to that effect

Honestly I am of the belief the Dolphins will botch up the draft. They have the worst scouting and draft decision I have ever seen. How many years since #13 retired have we not groomed someone to replace. Instead we get stuck with Jay way below average and AJ sucks a huge one... We could have Drew Brees, Drew Henson, Chris Simms and other players but instead we draft players we don’t need. We need some new management and coaches because this current group is stupid. Man is it hard to be a Dolphin fan :(

Man is it hard to be a Dolphin fan :(

Indeed. Although it has certainly reduced the amount of time spent watching and reading about it this season. I don't need to be worried about dedicating a browser window to following the game every sunday, or recording the game, or catching the highlights. I've followed the Falcons more than I might have normally.

He was a 4th round pick this year, and the brother of the QB in Arizona. He's playing because Garcia is injured and the Browns season is over so they want to see if he has any talent.

Except, the Falcons already beat the Niners. Beat Arizona, too. And the Bucs pretty handily the first time they played them. And beat mediocre teams like the Broncos and the San Diego. As a matter of fact, after today they will have beaten 10 teams and only lost to 3.

But, yeah, they really "suck." If they enough every year to win ten games, I'll be very happy.

Culpepper's knee touched the ground before he got back up and threw the pass. Yes, I nearly had a heart attack until I saw the replay, thank God Seattle didn't piss this one away, with the way the Rams are playing today, we're still somewhat alive for a playoff spot.

What the heck is going on in Green Bay? Are they playing in a blizzard, or did someone coat the football with lead? The two quarterbacks are 6-27 for 48 yards at halftime. Needless to say, they're my two starters in my fantasy league, and it's basically win today and I'm in the playoffs, lose and I'm out. I think I'm going to set a league record for lowest point total in one week.

It's really happening... a 6-7 team is going to be in playoff position in the NFC at the end of today.

Carolina, St. Louis, and potentially Detroit and/or Tampa will all be a 6-7. And the team ahead of them all (Minnesota) fell to 7-6.

I've never been an anti-Joey guy. I usually support our guys through thick and thin (hell, I never hated Vernon or Osgood). But that's it. Joey's done. Kevin Jones rushes for 150 yards and Joey can't throw the ball (going 5/22, 47 yds.) against a GB defense that has been allowing 400+ yards passing a game? Unbelievable. No more excuses. No running game. No receivers. Blah, blah, blah. Joey just falt out sucks. :(

As much shit as Kyle Boller has taken in his first couple years in the league, did his performance today make anybody think that maybe he can hang in the NFL after all? 18-34 for 219 yards and 4 TDs? I mean, granted, yes, it was the Giant defense, but still.

I saw the game, and I have to agree that Vinny played his worst game by far this season. He was badly underthrowing the ball as well as overthrowing open receivers. Also, I had a huge problem with his pass selections. He kept going after Mike McKenzie, who was making play after play. I will be happy the day that they either draft a more talented quarterback, or Henson is developed enough to start.
