Been around since the original board , owner of every FOF game since the begining. Posted under numerous other screen names, keep changing because I forget password or change email addresses...Anyway.
I am currently into the 21st year of my career and just came off a 18-1 season with our first title in Detroit. I had the best QB in the League, averaged 4100 yds, 31 Tds, 9 Ints over his four year career. My RB avg 1300+ yds, 90 catches!!, 9 Td's, 4.8 avg over his 5 year career. Things never looked better. Both contracts were up after the title. So I decide, being the big smash mout GM I am to tie up the RB to a HUGE 6 year contract and Franchise the QB. But in my stupidity, I decide to Franchise my big DE at the last minute since my QB had a loyalty of 98. I felt safe that I could sign this guy. What a mistake!!!
He signs the first week to Seatle for LESS than what I offered. My RB goes down the first preseason game with Degenitive Hip and my DE tears his MCL in the 3rd game of the year! (Both these guys retire after the season). I finish 2-14 . I can honestly say in all my years of playing FOF I have never had a combo like this and I was literally sick to my stomach. My wife walked by me at one point and asked if I was ok...I may fire myself and start with another team, because if this were real life Detroit would have me strung up by my scroto-maximus.
