The finish to the regular season of one of the fantasy leagues I'm in looked a little bit like the 2000 presidential election.

Needing 70 points from Drew Bennett, Larry Johnson, the Titans defense and Lawrence Tynes Monday night to win my regular season finale and clinch the No. 2 seed and avoid a first-round matchup against Peyton Manning, I fell .15 points short after Drew and Larry went nuts. Or so I thought.

I go over to check the results from the Giants/Steelers game and I suddenly notice I'm the No. 2 seed and am getting credit for a win last week. Sure enough, the score now shows me winning by .85 points.

I check around and find that this morning Yahoo took away one of the sacks credited last week to the Buffalo defense. That took one point away from my opponent's score and gave me the win. I'd love to know what prompted the change -- was it an error by Yahoo, did the league realize an extra sack was accidentally credit or was a run believed to have been sack changed to a run for no gain?

Regardless, it changed the order of our playoff seedings at the last minute. Yahoo shows the scoring change was made on 12/18 and I was on there this morning setting my lineups just before kickoff and didn't notice the change.

The only major impact was that the loss for my opponent knocked them out of the consolation bracket and moved up the No. 9 seed. Not sure if he cares about the consolation bracket, but he might have turned in a lineup if he knew he was in it.

Funning thing is that I kept checking the online box scores this week because I noticed that my defense only got one sack and I could have sworn I saw them pick up another sack. I thought if a scoring change for them happened for them, it would give me the win. But I gave up hope by Thursday. Weird.
