My 2nd year stud running back Melvin Mize just had an unbelievable four game stretch, starting with the wild card game. He amassed 600+ yards in 4 games, too bad it will never be recorded on his career stats.. btw, we lost in the championship game, just too dinged up of a team.
Rushing Att Yards Avg Long TD
31 Mize 37 272 7.3 39 3
31 Mize 29 162 5.5 67 1
31 Mize 25 110 4.4 14 0
31 Mize 22 116 5.2 25 0
-----------------------------------------------------------
PLAYOFF TOTALS 113 660 5.8 67 4
If put over 16 games..
452 2640 5.8 67 16

BTW, I just noticed Mize was POY as he ran for 1693 yards on 5.3 ypc with 12 touchdowns... looks to be a great pick, he was OROY the year before.

Eh... take out that first 272 yard game vs. a weak team and you have very good rather than earth-shattering. I'm still impressed. But it's not as if he ran for 165 per game.
He totally obliterated the mediocre wildcard opponent. He had a very good game vs. the divisional opponent. Then, he had good, although nothing to wite home about, games vs. the two best teams you faced.
Take out the first game and you've got a guy who averaged 130 yards per game for three playoff rounds. I've had better production from guys on #1 or #2 seeded teams that only get to play three games.

I see your point, but the fact that he just kept dropping 100 yard games on the best teams in the league after he singlehandedly beat a 10-6 wildcard team (we were 9-7) without our top 2 wide receivers, just stood out for me.

Hey, I'd sign for that from my RB if I were a wildcard team. You only see that kind of production every five or ten years. Just that after playing 100+ seasons of FOF we've all had players do stuff like this (although I've never had 272 yards in a playoff game).
