View Full Version : (Game) Which Weird Story Isn't True?

A)In November, the school district in Spurger, Texas, ended its decades-old, Homecoming Week reverse-roles day (in which girls dress as boys and vice versa) after one parent complained that the tradition promoted a homosexual lifestyle; in its place, the school urged kids to dress in military camouflage.
B)According to a female bailiff in Tampa, Fla., county judge Gasper Ficarrota (during a hotel-room tryst with the bailiff) laid out his robe on their bed for her to wear so that she could "feel the power that his black robe possessed." "Why do you think successful attorneys strive to become judges?" he asked. (The bailiff's remarks were written in her private diary, introduced by her husband at their divorce trial in November.)
C) A Moscow, Russia bar held a drinking competition in November, promising that the last man of the ten men entering would have his bar tab refunded, plus earn the equivalent of $1,000. The results were less then promising. Three men were hospitalized for alcohol posioning, with the winner slipping into a coma. The bar says they haven't decided if they are going to do a second contest.
D) In November, BBC News previewed an upcoming story for its wildlife TV magazine show "Spy in the Woods," derived from film footage from a stationary hidden camera in the Quingling mountains in northwest China. Featured on the show was a panda doing a handstand against a tree, apparently for the purpose of extending the vertical reach of his urine, to more dominantly mark his territory.
Post in this thread which one you think is not true, and why :D

C is untrue. It just seems too obvious.
I think I remember hearing about A.
And who believes a Panda wouldn't stand on it's hands to pee?

I think they're all true. People and pandas are just that stupid.

I say C or D ... umm .... C.
Edit: Forgot to say why.
C because if the dude really slipped into a coma, I'd hope there would be some mention/concern of his current health/outlook.

Those damn compassionate commies. Then again, someone probably slips into a vodka induced comma every couple of minutes over there.

I remember reading A, don't remember b, c, or d. D is so bizarre that it must be true. I'm going with C.

B is not well written. I choose B.

I am going with B, because it seems the most "normal" of the stories...

I also say B for the same reason as oliegirl - seems to be the most mundane. I remember hearing stories similar to C & D, so basically it was a toss up to me between A& B

A's real. We're talking about Texas- of course they'd buy it as "promoting" homosexuality.

I remember reading about C. I think there was a FOFC posting about it.

I'm going with B because it seems the most plausible and is therefore most likely untrue.

While there have been such drinking contests before (with fatal consequences, sadly) in the US and overseas, stories A, B, and D are all true, so C was made up

There was a drinking contest in Russia. I should have paid attention to the details and realized that this was not the drinking contest I remembered.
