Under 'things I learned poking around on Google", the CFL had teams based in the U.S. in the mid-90s. During the first home game of the Las Vegas Posse, singer Dennis K.C. Parks managed to sing the Canadian National Anthem to the tune of 'O Christmas Tree." Other fun facts:http://oursportscentral.com/cflinamerica/lasvegas.php

This "posts out of order" bug is getting ridiculous.
I mean, we're now seeing timely, relevant posts from ten years ago showing up on the front page.

As an aside, Bubba's constant trolling reminds me of HM...just minus the cocky and funny...HM Lite, if you will.

*Not actually true.Same old story. If someone is doing a continued anti-Canadian schtick, then that's pretty much trolling. There's a decent chance, though, that I haven't seen it if I've never commented on it or taken action. Letting me know after the fact that he's been trolling doesn't do any of us any good. Gotta let me know when it happens. Sounds like the same ol' story--the kid who hits back ends up getting punished, the player who punches back gets the 15-yard penalty...and the guy who carries an old fight from another thread into a new thread and "fights back" gets sent to the Box.

I would have reported the anti-Canadian trolling long ago, but the ignore user feature works too darn well. A search for the word "Canada" or "Canadian" by Bubba Wheels tells a pretty good story.
I always assumed that Bubba's dislike Canada, its people and its health care system was from some Freudian case of his maternal grandmother being from Manitoba or having a soft drink machine back in high school refused to take a quarter with Queen Victoria on it. Didn't occur to me that he maybe he was just trolling. Go figure.
Regardless, I like any thread that results in comedy gold from Maple Leafs. That guy does nothing but reinforce that the stereotype that Canadians have a massive inferiority complex and make up for it by being very funny and drinking beer.

Heck, I'm trying to figure out why I'm considered in such high regard myself. . . According to my HS drama performance, my acting and singing could be compared to these two in three simple words - not very good.
Maybe it is because my political views are liberal or I agree with John Galt all the time.
For now, I'm going out to the forest and adjacent to the office building to hug a tree, pet a spotted owl, take some water samples, and start a candle vigil for all those less fortunate than I.
May your higher power bring you peace and love.

The irony here is that only a complete moron would think this was an 'bash' Canadians thread. Fact is, I happen to like the CFL, find it intriquing that they had expanded into the U.S. for a brief point in time, wish they would do it again (we in Detroit have a big, empty Silverdome collecting dust right off of I-75 and even a CFL team would be surprised at the support they would get. The USFL Panthers had one of the highest attendance figures week by week of any USFL team.
The Canadian Anthem thing I thought reflected poorly on the Americans for not showing enough respect to get it right. Shocked that was taken to be "Canadian bashing." I think politcally Canada has gone around the bend, but I was not being political here.
And finally, no secret a 'select few' don't like my politics in general and just have an out-and-out agenda to get rid of me. Censorship is, apparantly when it comes to those believing in Biblical principles, a good thing to these folks.
