If you want to put an end to most pre-approved credit and insurance offers, go here:

https://www.optoutprescreen.com

"optoutprescreen.com is the only web source authorized by Equifax Information Services, LLC, Experian Information Solutions, Inc., Innovis Data Solutions, Inc., and TransUnion, LLC (collectively the Consumer Credit Reporting Companies), to accept and process requests from consumers to "Opt-Out" of pre-approved offers of credit or insurance. If you have previously completed a request to Opt-Out and would like to Opt-In, you may also complete your request on this website."

I'm more concerned with the mail that is that isn't addressed to me, but to whoever lives at my address, ie "Current Resident of 1211 34th..... Seriously, why is that sort of shit allowed to fly? It's the same as spam and the same as telemarketing - all bullshit and all pathetic.

Makes me want to scream!!!

I've always been bemused by spam (both online and snailmail) in general - no one I know admits to ever having purchased because of it - BUT someone must be, otherwise it'd have died out years ago ..... anyone here bought something because of spam?
