View Full Version : Just won over $1,100 playing poker...

Stayed up all last night - absolutely no sleep - but did win over $1,100 last night playing in NL tournaments. The largest tournament I played in was $500 +25 - I was scared as hell playing but found myself in the chip lead with four people left - had 3 times more than the 4th place player - then my internet service goes down for about 45 min. I went f'n crazy - calling Alltel and they said they had a schedule maintenance fee - great. Anywho - I did end up finishing in 3rd place winning $900.00(profit $400.00). I guess one of the players went all in and I still had chips.... This was playing Poker Stars and my starting investment was only $60.00. I wont get into all the tournaments I played in but I did very well last night - I think I played about 8 or 9 tournaments placing atl least 3rd in all but ONE.... Winning 4 or 5 and of them.... not bad, eh?!

Okay I think I'm rambling because now I'm at work with no sleep at all and just wanted to vent on what I did last night for about 13 hours :p

Man, ive won about $4,000 since September but I can't even imagine playing in a $500 buy in tourney, I would be too damn nervous, lol. Congrats man.

It was insanely nerve racking but it was definitely worth the experience.

Oh, and call your ISP and get a list of times they plan on doing server maintance, if it had happened 2 minutes into the tourney you would have been screwed.

no shat - I would of been so pissed if I didn't win anything from that tournment!!!

I never even knew they did server maintance often...

How is it that everyone I see posting about poker is winning gobs of money? Someone has to be losing somewhere...

those who've lost can't type anymore because they've either pawned their computer or Guido's broken all of their fingers. :)
