So, I have this dynasty going on (see sig.)

And the following happens:

Bizarre things happening to my FOF.

I gotta mail this one to Jim, I think.

I quit the game. Came back. Got a "license expired" error. No problem. Re-install license. Game launches fine.

Roster is empty.

EMPTY.

And there are no free agents. None.

So is every roster in the league. All empty.

Except one.

The Dallas Cowboys.

I don't get it. But somehow, every player in the NFL is now on the Cowboys roster. Under contract. They're about $412 million over the cap. But they have every player in the league on their roster.

Weird.

Needless to say, I have no older saves, and this pretty well fucks my dynasty. Unless I can somehow write my way out of it.


I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Would it do me any good to send you the saved game? And how do I do that?

Trust me, I won't let that happen. Even if your a cowpies fan, this is bad - their cap is totally blown to hell. They'll just cut everyone, take an overwhelming cap hit, and then the league will basically have to start from scratch. Only, the AI will probably grab all the good players. And I'll get nothing but crap.

Basically, there's a new issue with the ViaTech e-licensing software that seems to spontaneously trigger the copy protection, forcing a re-license. Obviously, for me, it had unpleasant side effects.

He said this was a pretty rare thing until very recently, and I'm like the third person to report this in the last month or so.

Lesson: Back up your games.

Basically, Jim liked the team name "Gila Monsters".

He said this could have been avoided had I renamed the Cardinals to the Gila Monsters.

Lesson: Go with Gila Monsters next time.
