So right now I am in the process of planning spring break with two friends of mine. Our goal is to hit up 5 Bane/With Honor/Comeback Kid/Silent Drive shows in 5 days at 5 different places.
3/2 Toronto, ON @ CLUB TRANZAC
3/3 Ottawa, ON, CAN @ BABYLON
3/4 Montreal, QC @ EL SALON
3/5 Allston, MA @ ICC CHURCH
3/6 New York, NY, US @ CBGB
Now, I know its crazy, its stupid, its all of that, but fuck it, I'm 19 and I drove to a Sonic Burger in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a burger on Thanksgiving night at 11 PM .. Slept in the car in the parking lot until 7 am when it opened and had one. This is the kind of things we do.
But .. do you people think its doable?
Any tips, advice, etc.
Here's hoping.

To paraphrase from a Richard Pryor set:
Spectator: "Man you crazy!!"
Richard Pryor: (surprised) "Yeaah"
Good luck...
never heard of any of those bands

You're a young, single male. You should use that energy pursuing young, single women.
When you get older, and young, single women are no longer an option, you'll thank me.

I wish I could see 1 concert, 1 month, 1 location...
Can it be done? Sure. Back in the early 90's, a friend and I saw 8 spring training games in 5 days, up and down I-4. Those were the good 'ole days.

Sure that can be done.
I remember bookings when touring where we would play New York on Monday, Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Atlanta on Wednesday, Detroit on Friday and believe it or not New Orleans on Saturday.
I don't think there is a booking agency around that really knows where these places are.
You should have a blast will will laugh alot I am sure!

Bane is still around? Hell I thought they would have called it quits by now. I remember the 1st time I saw them in philly it was the same day as a hurricane, only about 20 people showed up. That had to be over 5 years ago. By the way you should read Get In The Van before you leave. It will make your trip seem like a walk in the park.

Oh? Could you fill me in more on Get in the Van?
And yeah Banes still kicking. New CD coming out this spring. I've seen them probably five times already, if everything goes right, it'll be twelve after this tour. Yes, they are my favorite band, heh.

Get In The Van is Henry Rollins journal of when he was in Black Flag(From 1981 to 86). I would consider this book esstantial if you are into Black Flag. I mentioned it because they pretty much toured non stop I think they played around 200 shows in one year.

Another decent book is American Hardcore by Steven Blush. It's a good history of hardcore from 1980-86. Unfourtantly the author considers hardcore dead after 1986 and sometimes it gets in the way of his writing. But there is a couple good chapters on Black Flag, Bad Brains and The Misfits. The rest of the chapters are broken up by area(La, Orange County,DC,Boston,NYC which is way too short IMO, The Midwest,Texass. And the rest of the country).
