Help Running TCY

I've downloaded and installed The College Years, but the games doesn't start up when I run the .exe file. There are a list of things in the FAQ that I tried and none worked.

Any ideas?

I'm running XP through VirtualPC.

Hmm...not sure if the Virtual PC is the issue or not. Does it give you any messages at all when you try to run it?

No message, it looks like it just tries to run for a few seconds, then nothing.

FOF and OOTP both run fine through VirtualPC, so I wouldn't think that would be the problem unless there's something different with TCY.

Have you rebooted since you downloaded? I always have to do that for Solecismic products for some reason or else they won't run...

I've rebooted both the VirtualPC and my entire computer.

What's weird is a did an uninstall of the program, then loaded the demo version and it worked fine. I then installed the full version again, and it still wouldn't work.

Is it the eLicense version? eLicense has problems running through VirtualPC. This would explain why the non-eLicensed demo works on your machine, but the eLicensed, full version of the game does not.

Is there any way around this? I figured since FOF and the TCY demo both work with VirtualPC that the regular version of TCY would. I'd hate to have just paid for a game that I can't even use.

No guarentees as this is an issue with the eLicense software and not the TCY stuff.
