What does it mean when FOF Viewer says that after a play? Does it really have an effect? If so, what do you do about it? Anyone seen this?

But you don't even call plays in FOF!

Do you mean as in this?

Offense: Single-Back Formation, Normal, Strength = Left.
Defense: 34 Alignment, 3-Deep Zone, Pass - Normal.
2-08-IND34 (14:17) IND 18 Manning pass completed to 32 James for 1 yard.
Tackled by NE 54 Bruschi, assisted by NE 50 Vrabel
The defense looked very familiar with that play.

I think it's one of two things.

1. Either you run the play too much.

or more likely:

2. The defense guessed right on what play you were going to run.

Sure you can, just select that as an option.

Wait a minute. I know you can see the plays called in FOF Viewer, but you can also decide which specific plays to call as well?

I think it's #2, as I call my own plays, and I get that message on occasion, but more often than not, it happens even after I called that play for the first time in that game. At first, I yelled at my monitor, 'How can they be familiar with it?! Did they plant spies at my practice facility?!" But I've since regained my sanity and just ignore the message...

Not in the viewer......but in the game itself.

aquatix....in solo play you can call your own plays. This is not an option in MP though.

I would say that based on the formation and maybe the situation, that the defense is guessing correctly on what play you are running.

That is the funniest things I've read in weeks.

Tanglewood,

You should write for SNL or something. Like Franklin said.

aquatix, it means your offense has called that play a lot and the defense has caught on to it.

Most likely, your QB doesn't know many formations, which limit the number of plays your team can call. This causes the same plays to be called several times which means the opponent's defense will catch on and they will be less succesful.

Or, as has been said above, the defense just guessed right.
