I'd love to see a vintage NHL game. Something that would let you play the seasons of the 50s and 60s and 70s. Too bad they'd have to negotiate independently with all the players of that era to pull something like that off.

Oh, man, the 80's would be the best... The Bossy-Trottier led Islanders, the Stastny brothers, Marcel Dionne, not to mention the Kurri-Gretzky-Anderson line. Mike Liut! We need this to happen.

Or else NCAA College Hockey. That would be awesome.

Good old #85....

Dominance. Sheer dominance.

Just seeing the old Upper Deck Hockey cards brings me back. Remember the Valeri Kamensky card? Bure? Brett Hull's rookie? O-Pee-Chee? I miss hockey.

Now's the time when I really start missing hockey, too. Football's all but over, baseball hasn't begun yet, basketball still sucks. Last night we ended up watching Amazing Vacation Homes for a half-hour. Good God!

Ah, yes. The much maligned, but never faltering (except in net) Tim Cheveldae... I have his autograph. He was at the local Little Ceasars one afternoon (get synergies there Ilitch). Needless to say, I had no idea and just happened to stop in for some pizza. There wasn't much of a line.

The thing I loved most about good ole #32 is that he wore the absolutely hideous mustard yellow colored blazer during the play-offs "for luck." Clearly the thing didn't work.
