There is a RB in my draft who ranks 80 out of 88 right now. His only drawback is he has a volatity rating of 95%.

Anyone seen anything higher?

Wasn't Keith Horne in the 90s?

I just drafed a QB who was a 9.6 adjusted score... I think his future potential was 87 or so.

I drafted a 6-1 245 lb RB 2nd overall named Dusty Enright. 85 of 93! He was no bust, he actually INCREASED! He ended up 95/95 & R.O.Y.

1st season stats:

16 Gp, 15 St. 293 for 1528 5.21 Avg. 10 TD's

2nd:

14 Gp, 14 St. 281 for 1397 4.97 Avg. 6 TD's

3rd:

16 Gp, 16 St. 289 for 1620 5.6 Avg. 10 TD's
League Championship MVP at the Lions win their 1st title in 75 years (2032)

4th season:

In the 4th game he blew his achilles. He came beck the next season, but his ratings had plummeted and he got knicked up a lot. He never had another 1,000 yd season again. He retired after only seven seasons having won four championships in five seasons (going to five straight title games!)

I actually felt somewhat attached to Enright. He was the RB I always wanted. After his injury he even signed on for two more years at minimum salary...

The season he got hurt I also lost my QB Bill Campbell. He was amazing. A 6-5, 233 QB who actually ran a 4.27 one season, tying the winner of the fastest man. He could throw a bit (especially in the two minute!) but running was his thing. You could run him off tackle and pick up 15. Run a QB draw and he would often go 50 yards for a TD! He blew his knee in the second game of the year. He was a backup with me for another 14 seasons. Always reliable when needed, but not good enough to start. He was even a mentor (they both were.)

I drafted a QB with like 95 potential one time. He lived up to that potential too. I managed to "dean houston" him up to about 18 or 19 years, but eventually he retired. I was glad to get my franchise tag back

what the fuck do you mean "dean houston him up"? i didn't manipulate the game files to unretire him - that was MIJB you're thinking of.

Dean Houston was all ability, all hero.

Dola

You may want to be more specific in the future, steve. To "dean houston" something could have many meanings. For example, I thought you meant that you beat someone up like they were a little child.

Did Dean Houston ever actually play in Houston?

No, but he did slap a child there once. Or so I've heard.

I thought that they named Houston after Dean...

Almost certainly. He's 91/91 now (about to start year 2), and his adjusted draft grade was 9.0. And that grade is adjusted downward for kickers.

He has the highest current value of any game-generated player in IHOF, and his future potential is second only to SS Kerry Horner (Vicksburg) who has a future potential of 93.

That's all according to my scout of course. And in fact I may have given some positive info to Buzzbee, because secondary is my scout's best area (very good). He's average with kickers.

Still, I'm not sure I ever recall seeing a player any higher than 93. I'll keep an eye out in my solo career though.

Check out this punter, i believe he was a 9.0 on the scale when i drafted him, and something like a 94/98. He benched like 26 times.

I see DE Chris Richardson as 96/96...but my scout is rated only as 'fair'....so it's no doubt exaggerated a bit.

I was focusing on players on generated by the game itself. We used a 3rd party utility for the initial rosters, which probably skewed things.

It was my hyped LB that kept unretiring.

Dean Houston was all ability, all hero.Amazing how people keep remembering these two things so mixed up. Maybe it's because we both played with the expansion Cleveland Browns...
