i would but its really only useful for holdem. i mostly play non-holdem ring games, or an occassionaly holdem sng. so i didnt bother buying it. wish i had something like it for o8 or stud8 though.

thanks for the link, the problem I am having is I use hotmail, I saw there seemed to be a way around this using outlook, however, I don't use outlook and when I tried to set it up with sychronizing the 2 I got a message that I have to pay for an upgrade of my hotmail. Anyone know how I get around this?

If you use a non-free e-mail service, like a university's, or your ISP's you can just set up PT to check your Pop3 account and auto-import the HH's and then delete them.

Finally forced myself to sign up at PartyPoker so I could give this program a go.

Anyone have a decent auto-rate file? I've seen a couple around 2+2 and other places, but every time I copy+paste it imports fine but none of the rules actually show up.

So much info on this sucka.

EDIT: NM, found exactly what I needed right after I typed this. A dl for Bison's auto rate rules, that one imported correctly.

So as to not be a complete waste, I'll add another question..what do you guys find to be THE most important pieces of data to pay attention to? I know I hear VP$IP a lot.

Just adding on saying this program is essential for any online holdem ring game or sit-n-go player. My aggression may be a little TOO high because of identifying passive holes in my game (I think my VPIP/PFR is now 21/12 or something like that.)

VPIP and total aggression are both very important to follow in other players.

The 3 stats I pay the most attention to for opponents are VP$IP, PFR%, and post flop aggression.

You are unlikely to see enough hands with a particualr opponent to make many of the other numbers mean much from a statistical signifigance purpose. VP$IP though can be very telling a very short period of time though. If a guy has seen 80% of the flops outside of the blinds in 20 hands it is safe to assume he is an ultra loose player.

As for your own stats almost all the numbers have some value. Although again you need a lot of hands before they have much signifigance. People love to talk about their winrate after 1200 hands, but then are shocked when it has dropped a ton by 10,000 hands.

Just as a VERY rough estimate you want your VP$IP to be around 18%, your PFR% to be around 7-9%, and you W$SD to be around the mid 50%. Those are in no way strict guidelines as certain game types will vary things. But at full small stakes ring games if your number are in that range you are probably doing pretty well.

Thanks primelord, looking at my stats I'm way off on a couple of those, granted I have a VERY small sample size. Had a rough first day at PartyPoker. My VP$IP is looking good, but the other two...not so hot. Kept finding myself stuck with medium hands today, and ended up about $25 down on .50/$1.

Need to practice limit more, I've been playing on Pokerpages/Bugsy's Club for quite a while, but mostly NL tourneys, so my limit experience is pretty minimum. Most of my reading is about limit though, so I think it's just a matter of getting my feet wet.

Hoping tomorrow goes a little smoother. Think part of my problem was focusing on setting up PokerTracker and that Gametime+ during the game..think I'm getting it situated.

What is the consensus on Gametime+ vs. Playerview? Seems like I've heard some good things about Playerview, and was considering dl'ing it. Is it better than GT+? What's the diff?

Can anyone give me a run down on all of these stats? Also, is there anyway to automate the table witht he players at your table?

What do you mean by run down? Do you mean an explination of what the stats are?

VP$IP - Is the percentage of time a player puts money in voluntarily. So generally it means how many times they see the flop outside of the BB. Of course if they call a raise in the BB that would be counted as well.

PFR% - is the percentage of time the player raises preflop

W$SD - Is the percetage of time you win when there is a showdown. If your percentage is higher than around 55% or so then you are either not value betting the river enough or you are folding the river too often.

Those are the stats I mentioned in this thread. Were there other stats you wanted an explination for?

Interesting, that's a layer that hadn't really crossed the mind of this novice (who pretty much now plays only Limit at microlevels.) I'm just usually freakin' happy when I win, y'know.
