I’m With Stupid #97
For IWS #97, we take you back to the 70's for a rendition of "The Match Game" starring Gene Rayburn. For those of you who don't remember how the game worked, contestants would be asked to fill in the blank in a sentence that Gene asked and they'd score points based on how many people on the celebrity panel came up with the same answers. So, I've dug up a couple sample questions from the game. All you have to do is fill in the blank. This is the Super Bowl version of that show! Take it away, Gene . . .
The Questions
1. T.O. said, "It's terrible sitting on the sideline, but it gives me time to think about end zone celebrations. Next time I score, I'm going to pull a _____________ out of my pants and give it to a fan."
2. John Madden likes Tom Brady so much that when Tom is on the TV screen, John draws a ____________ on the screen with his magic pen.
3. Troy Brown is so versatile that he has decided to try a new position. Since he has already played Wide Receiver, Cornerback and Kick/Punt Returner, Troy said that he might try playing _______________.
4. Donovan McNabb finally made it to the Super Bowl. To rub it in Rush Limbaugh's face, he decided to send a _______________ to Rush's house.
5. Pepsi is looking to stun the world with their Super Bowl advertising. This year, they have a commercial that features Britney Spears riding a ____________.
6. When all is said and done, it will be the _______________ who will walk off the field with the Super Bowl victory.
The Rules
The rules are the same as previous FOFC “I’m With Stupid" Contests, as set forth by the game’s beloved founding fathers.
The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Highest score wins.
No collaborating in any way. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by e-mail or in any other way with other potential contestants.
All determinations of "matches" and anything else requiring judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this round of the game. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, and that sort of thing. My decisions are final and inarguable.
Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American. However...
Your answers do not necessarily have to be correct in order to score points. If I ask "name a color of the rainbow," and you and four other people responded "black" - you get five points, period, even if it is not technically a correct answer to the question.
