i am checking out the available pc based baseball game sfor this season othe than the text based games which I love Puresim 2005 and OOTP6-7,Diamond Mind etc are there any other games to be made .... besides EA's MVP 2005 which FWIW I have no interest in buying? Is there no competition for EA in the graphical baseball game area? Does anyone still play the Strat-o-Matic baseball games on the PC still ? I loved the PBP sound it was awesome.

From time to time I get the SOM baseball game for PC and always get the brochures but even though the game is quite good I just never can get into playing it.

Did anyone pickup the High Heat franchise when 3DO went under? I always preferred that one to the other graphical games on the market.

Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe it is a pipe dream. However, I gotta say it: Clay has been posting a LOT more than normal, and is supposedly adding a lot of features for BBM2K6. I am cautiously optimistic about this version.

Why not MVP for the PC? With all the mods out there, 2004 is one heck of a game. 2005 should be just as/if not better.

MVP = EA no thank you
After this whole thing with EA and there fervor to kill competition in the Football games area I have decided to not give EA anymore cash. Plus, after getting suckered into buying the Lord of the Rings Battle for middle earth game and see that they pretty much falsely advertised even more so.

I'd have to concur, you'd have to call the paramedics to revive me if there is any solid update to BBM.

I'll have to agree with SkyDog on Baseball Mogul. I checked out the forums the other day and was surprised at the number of features mentioned as planned for the next release. Sounds like it could be worth a demo at the very least.
