Well Hello Everyone,
I just picked up a new Notebook and downloaded TCY.. When I attempt to verify my game license the darn screen just sits there. It states it is attempting to contact the internet to verify my license but never gets past this point.
Any idea on what the problem may be? Security setting issue with my new notebook possibly?
HELP!!
Thanks!

If it's got SP-2 on it then it probably is a port/security issue, but since I don't have SP-2 installed I have no clue how to help, sorry.

I did get a McAfee message when clicking on the 'get license' option asking if it was okay to continue.. After I click ok to continue the problem occurs.

Try turning McAfee off.

Well, I will check my email later on today to see if I got a response from e-license support.
In the meantime, how exactly would I disable McAfee completely to try to get this issue taken care of? I've looked at McAfee and I can disable certain options but I don't see a method to just turn it all off..
Also, I want it back on after completion of the e-license installation.. I'm assuming this isn't difficult to do.
Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!

Alright, no response from tech support. Is that email address still
[email protected]?
I do have one follow up question (and hopefully some of my fellow true TCY fans out there can help me out). I've installed the e-license for the game, twice previously.. Basically, I've changed computers three different times, with this laptop I received this past week being the third.
If I uninstall TCY off of a old computer so it can't be used, shouldn't I be able to license it on a new CPU?
Thanks again!

[email protected] should be the correct one.
And yes, if you uninstall TCY off of one computer you should be able to use that license on a different computer.

Thanks S.S.
The reason I asked that question is that I have heard mentioned before that the elicense is only good for two licenses per order. My concern on that would be, is a situation like mine (uninstalling on old PC's before installing on a new one), be considered more than one license. In my mind, it shouldn't.

From what I understand of eLicense, uninstalling and unlicensing are two seperate steps. You do get two licenses, but in your situation, you would need to unlicense it from your old computer before you uninstall it. Then that free license can be used on your new laptop. Otherwise I believe, if you just uninstall, you may lose that license. (Again, I don't know for sure, but that's what I think)
To unlicense the game, right click on the icon. In the pop-up menu go to eLicense Control and choose Unlicense. Then you can uninstall.

Well I believe I may have screwed that part up this time.. I uninstalled all TCY files off that PC and then went into Control Panel to take a look at the E-License file..
When I attempt to opent the e-license file, I get the little flashing "searching" prompt, and it does not find anything.
Ought oh.
At this point, I'm hoping that e-license support can manually release the license on their side so that I can install, if this is indeed the problem.
This does bring me back to my security question though. Could this be the problem? This new laptop I have is loaded security wise (full McAfee, etc..).
Any thoughts on that?
And all I want to do is begin another mediocre UCF Dynasty. :)
Thanks!

I don't know how McAfee works but with Norton Anti-Virus, you go down to the bottom right of your screen where the clock is and right click on the Norton icon down there. On that pop-up menu I have an option to disable Auto-Protect. I'm not sure if this would help in your situation or if McAfee has something similar, but I thought I would try to help :)

I guess I figured that by uninstalling you meant unlicensing.

The previous time I uninstalled TCY, I believe that I did unlicense first.. I think that that does make a difference..
