And to think people willingly submit their info thinking this is totally legit. Isn't it somewhat easy these days to track the people who send these out?

Okay, I've seen quite a few phishing emails in my day, and some of them look real enough to give you a start if you're not expecting it. Even though you'd think common sense would tell people "That's not legit," you can see how they might get taken in.

But the above? Anybody who falls for that deserves to get cleaned out.

I've gotten this from 8-10 banks NEVER from my own.....duh..

my God. it would have been like 10,000 times more effective to just say "Click Here" and be done with it.

Try to contact the real banks they are "phishing" on, the one I received for a Bank of Oklahoma (how hard up do you have to be to take Sooner money?:P ) asked for the complete email along with headers so they could trace and do some R and D on the mail server etc..

They were very easy to work with, and geninuely grateful that I could give them so much info. (Doesn't everyone read their email headers?)

Good Luck.

The funny thing is that when you just press the forward button the whole message gets scrambled. So if someone isn't paying attention, none of it would be readable.

what language is that in?

It was in english, or do you mean some other language?

reading the actual url with an IP address in it instead of a valid name like usbank.com (about 50 copies so far of this one). Yeah.. i'll click that link before i delete your email... yeah..
