Just heard this on WFAN. What if they build an arena and there is no hockey? :eek:

I don't get it. Is this a hockey-only facility, or is it something that the Nets can use?

Wouldn't make sense to me to have a new NHL arena under construction with all this mess going on.

as a devils fan, im excited. not too excited to be going to newark....but still excited.

all we need now is a sport to play there.

The Nets are still looking to Brooklyn, AFAIK. And no minor league teams in the area, that I'm aware of, although I guess there's an arena football team and maybe an indoor lacrosse team.

But anyway, considering how long these negotations have been going on, I wouldn't put too much stock into this until the first shovel goes into the ground.
