Cassandra Lynn Moyer
Born February 3, 2005 at 11:38 am
She weighed in at 8lbs 5 oz and stood a whopping 21 inches tall!
Her blue eyes and blonde hair are bound to break hearts as she grows up!
I can't say enough just how proud, amazed, and thrilled I am with my wife. Telle came through this (her first pregnancy) with flying colors.
Web page with pics coming soon!

Congrats! She sounds like a future pro WNBA player :) I like that name too. Mrs. Eaglesfan and I have it as one of the final 5 possibilities if we have a daughter in the future.

You are considering naming your daughter Cassandra Lynn Moyer? Seems kinda odd. ;)

Hehe.. not the last name, but oddly enough Cassandra is in our top 5 choices for a first name (and it is my first) and Lynn is Mrs. Eaglesfan's top choice for a middle name :)

A baby who can stand up on her first day in the world is awesome! We expect big things.
Congrats to you and the mother, in any event.

See, I never understood this. My mind automatically processes it as height. She's 21" 'tall,' even though she can't stand up. I know plenty of guys who think the same way. And yet I have never met a woman who didn't quantify a child's size in terms of how 'long' it is. What is that thing, a snake? A lizard?
Pedantry aside, congrats, RendeR!

First let me thank all of you for all the kind words. Baby and mom are both doing EXCELLENT. The mid-wife home visit went fantastic and mother and daughter are finally (after a rough first couple days) working well together as a breastfeeding team!
As for the standing up, its actually really amazing how strong she is. within moments of birth she pushed up with her arms and lifter her head up on her own! and she's getting stronger by the hour! She truly is an amazing little girl and I couldn't be prouder of her and Telle. Its such an amazing thing to bring a new life into the world.
Thanks again folks!

My son was the exact same way when he was born. He was 22 inches long and weigh 8 pounds and 12 ounces. He would look around with these huge eyes and then would push up with his arms to turn his head to the other side. He's now 7 and is solid muscle. I have to watch it when we play fight because the little booger can bruise me with one of his punches. Sounds like you'll have your hands full with her. :)
