Good to his word, bad to his testicles
Rugby fan honors pledge to sever them if Wales beat England
LONDON - A Welsh rugby fan cut off his own testicles to celebrate Wales’ beating England at rugby, the Daily Mirror reported Tuesday.
Geoff Huish, 26, was so convinced England would win Saturday’s match he told fellow drinkers at a social club, “If Wales win I’ll cut my balls off,” the paper said.
Friends at the club in Caerphilly, south Wales, thought he was joking.
But after the game Huish went home, severed his testicles with a knife, and walked 200 meters back to the bar with the testicles to show the shocked drinkers what he had done.
Huish was taken to hospital where he remained in a seriously ill condition, the paper said. Police told the paper he had a history of mental problems.
Wales’s 11-9 victory over England at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff was their first home win in 12 years.

The real winner in all of this is a man by the name of Charles Darwin.

That's "had", Jeff..."had".
Are such actions candidates for Darwin Awards? He did remove himself (literally, I might add) from the gene pool.

Being from about ten minutes south of Caerphilly, I can well imagine that happening. Once you get out of Cardiff and start heading up the South Wales Valleys there are a lot of fruit loops like this guy.
A large proportion of the notorious Cardiff City soul crew come from Caerphilly and the Valleys and the valley boys are always the ones you had to stay away from on nights out in town.
Having said that, cutting your own testicles off? I was excited at the win but WOW

Because he was from Galapagos?
Or was he a rare species of bird?

He may not go that far, he may just say, "I'd give an arm and leg if....."

This shows the side affects of generations of breeding with sheep, and drinking Brains Bitter.
I've been to Cardiff for a couple of internationals, never seen them celebrating though. They go crazy enough when they lose :)
England beating Wales is something that should be a safe enough bet to risk your family jewels on though, well done to them for beating the English Rugger Buggers.

The most shocking part of the story, "Police told the paper he had a history of mental problems." Wow, I never would have guessed.

Some more details, in case the original wasn't graphic enough :)
Another fan who was with Geoff at Leigh Social Club in Caerphilly, Mid Glamorgan, said: "He came back later wearing a kilt with his testicles in a bag.
"He lifted the kilt up to show everyone what he had done. There was blood everywhere, it was terrible. That's when he collapsed."
Another club-goer said: "We're all in a state of shock, no one can believe what happened. He must have been in terrific pain.
"It was amazing he could walk the 200 yards from his house back to the club."
