I know most of us here aren't big NBA fans and neither am I, but I couldn't help notice that Jermain Oneal was selected as an all star. To me that is insane, how can he be rewarded for his antics earlier this year, I don't care how talented he is, he should be left off the squad for someone with better integrity.

Maybe Im incorrect but I dont think Jermain O'Neal did anything inherently wrong in that Pistons Pacers crowd fight fiasco. Surely nothing invlolving integrity

Jason Richardson, 2 time dunk contest fan, wont be in the dunke contest this year because he said theres no reason to go just for that.

I suspect Lathum will burn in hell for using NBA and integrity in the same post.

Like Vince Carter who admitted to not trying hard when he was playing in Toronto?
Like Tmac who also admitted to dogging it in Orllando to force being traded?
Like Kevin Garnett that punched a rookie teammate in the face for showing him up?
Like Iverson who has had numerous run ins with the law(even tho he plays hard all the time)?
Like Kobe who committed adultry with a girl in a hotel that may or may not have been rape?

Jeez, Get off JO, he punched one dude that shouldnt have even been on the floor. JO does a lot of work in the community, and outside of one incident has had no problems at all. If you dont like the NBA, dont comment on it at all.

At the time i hated JRich for bouncing the Ball off of Carlos Boozers forhead and shooting a 3 in the rookie game. Now that Boozer is gone, i totally appreciate that moment.

Agreed, Bibby, Webber, Miller or Peja could have been selected. Kings must have pissed off someone.

That J. O'neal was a league coach selection says a lot about how the coaches feel regarding O'neal and his supposed 'antics'. J.O'neal is highly respected by the league, and I suppose that the coaches respect his abilities and the way he carried himself before and after the incident.

There are a lot more undeserving guys in the All-star Game. COUGH*CARTER*MCGRADY*COUGH.

The problem was more a numbers issue. Miller (15.6 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 1.1 BPG)didn't have the numbers to beat out Stoudamire (26.8 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 1.6 BPG) for the backup center spot. Bibby had the same issue in trying to beat out Nash or Ray Allen. Marion and Rashard Lewis also had better numbers than Peja. Webber's probably the biggest stiff, but I don't see how you can take him over Nowitzki or Marion when you look at all their numbers. The only way a King could have made it would have been if Peja was taken over Ginobili - and that chance pretty much ended when Popovich was named coach.

Now that I look at it, I'm a bit surprised that some like Lewis or Ginobili wasn't left off to get in a guy like Bibby. The West has only one true PG (Nash). The east has Arenas and Wade (hybrid PG). I'm also surprised Arenas made over the self-professed top PG in the league - Starbury.

Peja's had an off year. I think Miller or Bibby should have made it. Webber's done relatively well, but, frankly, I'm glad he'll have the time off.
