I found this on fatwallet.com, and thought I'd pass it along. It's a Various Artists comp

(I already had iTunes open when clicking this link, so you may need to do the same).
I'm personally a very big Le Tigre fan, so make sure you listen to the last track...
edit: "Golden Touch" by Razorlight is another solid song. woxy.com was playing them quite a bit a few months back.

Also, I hugely recommended another free download. The artist is Tegan and Sara and the song is "Walking With a Ghost." The album it's off (So Jealous) was one of my top 5 favorites last year, easily.
You can find it in the free downloads section on the main page of the music store (lower right).

Absolutely. Shit, if 1 in 40 free songs I hear gets me even mildly interested in a group, I'm all for it.

Now, see, this is more valuable to me than the album was (although I grabbed that, too). I've known about their free single of the week for a while, but I never knew they had a section with multiple free songs. Thanks for the heads-up on that.
As for the sampler, one of the songs - "Jus Anotha Shorty" - was previously a free single of the week. I wonder if they all were. Not a big deal if so, because except for Shorty, I had missed the others, but there may be some folks who've been paying attention to the single of the week longer than I.
Which is just another way of saying "thanks for both, cthomer, but the free downloads section is definitely more valuable."

FYI if you subscribe to Salon Premium, they do a "Salon Sampler" every month of about 20 songs, always free.
Since they just started it, you can still get the December and the Jan/Feb things. :)

(I am in no way affiliated with Salon.com, but damn do I love it).
