what the difference between the three Law and Order Series?
Law and Order, Law and Order: SVU and Law and Order: Criminal Intent
i hardly watch this show much.
but i am thinking of watching them on rerun or gettting the dvd set.
Law and Order (standard) is the original, almost always deals with a homicide. 2 Detectives (same every week) and the captain investigate every week for about the first half hour, and the 2nd half hour is the Executive Assistant District Attorney and his assistant prosecuting the case, with occaisonal input from the DA. The benchmark of the series.
Law and Order: SVU was the first spinoff. Consistently deals with "special victims" such as crimes against children or sexually based offenses such as rape (some homicides, but not always). 4 rotating detectives investigate in pair for the first 30 minutes, followed by the prosecution by the assistant district attorney. Much more interplay between the district attorney and the detectives in this series, as well as insight from the criminal phychologist. Highly enjoyable, some even say better than the original. Outstanding acting from the detectives.
Law and Order, CI. Haven't seen too much of it, but basically Vincent Denofrio goes around picking up obscure clues and solving crimes. My least favorite of the three.
Hope that helped, in some elementary way.

I'll take Mansfield's daughter. That's not the best pic of her though.
