Tough call for me, I haven't played Winning Eleven 8 yet, which I'm pretty sure would be #1.

I think ESPN College Hoops is probably the best, but the sheer amount of hours my group has put into NFL 2k5 makes it the winner. Man, we've logged some hours into that. Most in a sports game since Walsh '95 on the Genesis.

Other. Winning Eleven 8. I can't believe NCAA Football 2005 is winning so far. The unrealistic amount of dropped passes ruined that one for me eventually. I would have put ESPN College Hoops 2k5 2nd, and Madden 3rd.

I actually read that this game was TERRIBLE. :)

I haven't voted yet, because I haven't played College Hoops enough to know whether it beats out Madden or NCAA Football 2005. Last year, NCAA Football 2004 was my clear winner. This year they seem to have messed it up, so it's between Madden and College Hoops for me.

I agree with these guys.

I haven't played College Hoops 2k5 enough yet, so I'd put Madden 2005 2nd and NCAA 2005 3rd by default

Winning Eleven 8. Way better than any console soccer game I've ever played. Also, MVP 2004 was pretty damn good. Madden was good too, but EA just sickens me right now so I can't mention them.

I've been playing a lot of NCAA 2004, even though I own the 2k5 version...yeah, the dropped passes thing is ridiculous. The previous version seems a bit better to me in other ways too.

My vote went to ESPN NFL 2K5. Best game of football I've played on a console.

NFL Street II was the only console game that I bought this year.

If my memory is correct, the only sports games to come out this year (2005) are NFL Street 2, NBA Street Vol. 3, and Winning Eleven 8. I've bought all three of those. :D

Maybe it's because it's the most recent but I vote for Other: Winning Eleven 8.

Loads of fun - just needs a better interface.

I may play NCAA Football the most, but it's definitely not the best game.

ESPN College Hoops is the only one of those that I own that works (the used copy of Madden I got for Xmas freezes)
