While I know there aren't many of us left over the age of about 14, Matt Cassamania over at IGN wrote a wonderful editorial about what Nintendo has to do at this year's E3 to keep from going the way of the Dreamcast next generation. While most of these are common sense with a few pie in the sky, this is a pretty dead on analysis. It makes me with he was over at NCL telling Iwata what to do to stop bringing ruination to the company rather than sitting at a desk in San Fran playing with little Zelda figures and Photoshopping pictures of Fran's head to pictures of a goat. If the Revolution has vastly inferior specs to the other two systems, shuns 3rd party developers as much as this generation, and relies on some horrible gimmick that they grossly overvalue (or any combination of the three)- they might as well move any and all game development to the DS and holding off the PSP because their market share this generation will look generous by comparison. I have yet to wake up in cold sweats to dreams of the Nintendo Revolution being called Virtual Boy 2 but it's going to happen in the next three months, mark my words.

It will be sad if this version of the nintendo becomes the first nintendo console i don't buy... as it is my cube has sat stagnant for a year now...

It's so sad because they could do so much, but they just don't for some reason..
