2 times tonight i've loaded the board and both times i've gotten a pop up for
Ryland Homes, its a flash page. Am I alone? Do I have spyware? Fuck.
Edit: I have Netscapes pop blocker and havn't gotten a pop up since its been installed.

I would say it is spyware, and therefore you are definately not alone.

I got one just a few minutes ago in the Bitch thread. I think it has something to do with the article that was copied and pasted using the WYSIWYG editor.
The really scary part is that it got through Firefox...

Yep, I saw the Ryland ad in that thread and that thread alone (also using Firefox - well, Firebird still...).
This reminds me, people should be a little more careful about cutting and pasting articles. Text is fine, but I've seen multiple occasions where it looks like html was cut and pasted, as images, formatting etc. was included in the post. I would think we would want to avoid that.

I am sorry, I didn't realize the problem I caused.

Firefox is not perfect by any means and it seems that may shock a lot of people. Every day I hit a new site that doesn't work with Firefox and every day the browser loses some appeal to me.

Weird, like which sites? Ive never been on a site that didnt work with Firefox.... and if a site doesnt work with Firefox, its not the browsers fault. You have to blame the site programmers first, its up to them to make sure their site works in all browsers. A lot of sites are beyond sloppy and are coded with MSIE specific code, blame MS for their continual defiance of standards.

I don't have the time to blame anyone. I just want to click on shit and read.

I tried it for a couple of days and decided not to go with it. I recall a couple of simple IE-like features that it couldn't do (like time-stamp the pull-down list of sites visited) and linking with Explorer directories (instead of files).

I'd like to see the history sorted by time and date as well.

I say cut down on the Cialis when you plan on looking at pics of Skydog in patriotic undies.
