I think everybody is starting to get in the mood a little with the guys reporting in Florida and Arizona! I am looking forward to some good discussion on this years breed of baseball games for the console and sims for the PC. We need to get going on this and I know a lot of people are threatening to boycott EA and all that but will ESPN be $20? What about OOTP and PureSim? I have been away from the scene for a while so I have no idea what is going on with those games. If there is a thread like this already, just lead me in the right direction. If not, lets get this discussion started!

MVP Baseball 2005 will be $29.99 for all consoles and PC and will be shipping this Tuesday.
The next version of OOTP will probably not be released till Summer/Fall of this year.
MLB 2K5 is shipping 3/1 and it looks like it is being priced at $19.99 (I haven't heard anything about a set price, last I checked TakeTwo was unsure about pricing).

If you have a GameStop near you, you can trade in any 2005 EA Sports game, and get MVP '05 for only 9.99.

I'm thinking the same.......both have manage only modes that are "in game" from what I have read. That's what I look for, I'm not much of a button masher.

I like Manage only myself. If 2k5 has that feature, I might check that one out. I miss the High Heat days.

Not sure if I'm getting MVP or ESPN...
If MVP comes out this week then probably MVP and if I'm disappointed with it I can buy 2K5 just for $19.99 - can't go wrong ;)
Last years MVP I enjoyed but couldn't hit a HR for the life of me...

I have been looking for any articles that confirm an "in game" manage only mode. Where did you read that?

Anyone picked up MVP yet? I know it doesn't come out until tomorrow, but I've been able to get games a day early before from EB, and I was wondering if anyone has played it. I'm curious most about the changes in the career mode.

Well, my daughter has a ps2 and since MLB has a manage only mode, I just might have to pick that one up. Hope she doesn't mind me in her room all the time. :)
