In my mind, there have been two major sports events so far this year: the NFL playoffs, and the Daytona 500. In each case, I definitely had my favorite to root for (Packers and Matt Kenseth), but if they didn't win, I didn't really care too much who did ... with two exceptions. The Lions.... it's a natural fit...... How about Paul Tracy for good measure?.....

Ya know, I actually disliked Paul Tracy for a long time. Now, I find myself rooting for him. I'm guessing it's because he's one of the few people who's stuck with CART / Champ Car through thick and thin.

I don't root for Tracy, but I do like him because he is loyal. He's got some "star appeal", which ChampCar needs, and I hope he continues to be successful in ChampCar. He'll help develop other stars by being a name competitor himself, and I hope he does stay in ChampCar for a while.
