I figured I'd try my luck over here, since many of our owners are regulars around these parts. The United Baseball League (http://www.unitedbaseball.org) is nearing the All-Star break in 2011 and the Atlanta Braves have become open. This team is just 2 seasons removed from the playoffs and is in the easiest/worst division in the UBL. They have the new "Big Cat" (http://www.unitedbaseball.org/ootp/p1044.html), decent pitching, but a possibly aging offense. They also have about 30M in payroll room.
The best part is whoever takes this team gets to compete against the venerable Hell Atlantic (FLA) under whose guidance have yet to earn a playoff berth since 2003. Won't you help keep HA out of the playoffs?
You can either post on our waiting list, or contact me over AIM (mikedavis76). There are plenty of guys on this board who are either current or past members, so try your hand.

i don't appreciate the fact that i'm being used as a way to draw members in. people should want to be in the league cuz they like my company, not cuz they want to see me not make the playoffs. especialy since my team is GONNA BRING THE FUCKING RUCKUS.

Using v6 with all the goodies. I guess I forgot to mention, we have waivers on, used Rocco's rosters in 2003. We also have an 8/4 rule, which is similar to MLBs 10/5 rule. We also instituted the EBF (Euroball Federation) whose computer run FAs can be bid on by UBL owners in a unique system. If you haven't been lately (to you former owners) check it out...it's an awesome league.

If you mean RUCKUS = 7 layer bean dip, then you are absolutely correct.

Joining the NL East with Hell Atlantic and his 15 year plan is like a licence to print playoff tickets.

I can't believe we haven't had someone sign up yet. This league pretty much never has openings. Let's go boys, someone join the party. :)
