I am planning on finally getting FOF2004. Good time huh :) Anyways, I know TCY can be a good companion, right? You can import draft classes, correct? I was wondering if it was worth spending $60 for the combo or should I just stick with FOF and see if TCY2 ever comes out.

Easily worth it. I would be surprised if you got less than 30 hours of game play out of it.

Yeah, definitely still worth $30.

No wonder you didn't fare too well as an owner in the USFL.

Yeah, I planned on getting it when it first came out but circumstances wouldn't allow it.

Yep, quite fun.

Now if I could get some time to get back to my dynasty. :)

This thread is making me want to find my order ID on my main computer so I can download the game and my second license onto my laptop and start up a new career.

I bought the CD version of the game and have since lost the CD twice. I am dying to get into it again, and I think the only way that I'll be able to do that is to pay another $30 for it. Just the fact that I'm even considering it is evidence that it's worth $30 once.

I have bought twice, myself.

TCY is worth getting if you like college football and like recruiting. Though TCY2 is perhaps Solecismic's next game, there's no guarantee, and if it comes out later this year, you'll probably get a discount on the new edition.

I've bought TCY twice as well (CD once which I lost in a move) and download once. I just found my order ID on my main computer and will be downloading it to my laptop today to fire up a new career. Still a fun game.

TCY is great. Worth $30? You bet.

TCY is one of the few games I've played that's worth over $100 to me because of the amount of PT I got out of it.

Still worth it. Since Jim usually releases games in the fall, I don't think you need to worry about a new version coming out soon. There are certainly elements where I think to myself, "I wish this were more like FOF," but it's still a very fun game, especially with all the patches he's put into it (including the latest one, which came out after FOF 2004). If you like college football at all, you'll dig TCY.

It must be worth $60 since that's what I've paid. Very different from FOF, but a great game. I suck at it by the way.

I'd buy it to support Jim but my PT hasn't even come close to the price, I'm one of the few but just can't get into the recruiting(ugh)......I keep trying to break it out, play it and like it but has never happened. If you leaving recruitng to the game itself I've never done anything but suck. My hope is that he will make a TCY 2 and it will have some sort of sliders for adjusting what to recruit for, etc.

Of course, if you're the type of person to join MP leagues without actually buying the game, I don't think you're looking in the right place for opinions.

Dude deserves a little slack. He talked to me about it and even apologized (not even my league). Guess he was 15 or 16 at the time.

Ah... so asking people on the Front Office Football forums about one of the developers games is not the right place to get opinions. Gotcha. If you give me some other good forums to go ask I will go to them and get a good widespread review on the game.

For christs sake, the game has just come out a few days earlier I planned on getting it, the league was just in the beginning of formation and I apologize if I delayed the league at all. I am there are times that a game will be coming soon and people make a league prior to it coming out, or just as a game is released, and a couple people don't end up getting the game. I recall it happening with TPF and I think Puresim. If I am wrong, whoops. I am not saying what I did was right, but it wasn't exactly earth shattering. If anybody was effected by what happened a year and a half ago I will happily talk to you in PM's.
