Now, I don't follow soccer as much as I used to (say, as much as when I lived in England), but I was recently catching up reading here (http://football.guardian.co.uk/championsleague200405/story/0,15008,1419786,00.html) and noticed that Paolo Maldini has just celebrated 20 years in Milan's first team.

Sorry, but that's unreal.

For those currently following Serie A - is he still good? Obviously having Nesta & Cafu helps, but still....

There is no HOF ...

But ya- Maldini will go down as one of the best (if not the best) Left Backs we have ever seen in football. And a classy gent to boot.

I'm not sure why I find this funny but it made me laugh.

It's a ridiculous English thing. They let the English public vote for it, so you end with seven English players, three Brazilians, one Argentinian and no Diego Maradona (he scored with his hand against them and they never forgave him).

Here's (http://www.englandfootballonline.com/TeamHons/HonsHallFameInt.html) a link detailing what a disaster it was. It's from an English supporters website, showing that the real fans aren't as shortsighted and parochial as the people who voted.
