There is a game show in the UK called Countdown, where they do several different kind of games that are mentally challenging, like posting a series of numbers and you have to figure out the proper math steps to use to arrive at a predetermined total, and another where they put a series of letters up and you have to create as many words as you can out of them.
The following clip contains a pretty good random series of letters. This appears real, as the hosts are the ones I remember seeing last year when I was living in London.
