Does Phil Jackson coaching LeBron James make too much sense to happen? The NBA marketing guys would want this so bad that the league will probably pay his salary.

It didn't have anything to do with the "cunt" thing, did it?

To stop the losing streak apparently.

It seems NBA coaches get fired in-season more than any other sport. The Orlando Majic recently fired their coach, and Don Nelson resigned from the Mavs.. all within the last 2 weeks.

Yeah, they said the team was having a bad stretch. So they canned him and I think they want Flip Saunders.

Yeah, I heard somewhere Flip was a Cleveland (ohio?) native, so that would make sense.

Can't see Phil in Cleveland ... just couldn't exist w/out the big city press.

Saunders has said he will not coach this season and will look to get a job in the offseason. Im assuming he didnt expect the Cleveland job to open up though.

I saw this one coming for weeks. The team is a mess, McInnis was benched for a reason not yet known to the public. We've lost 9 of 12 and haven't won on the road since January. In a players only locker room meeting after a loss earlier this week fingers were pointing everywhere with pro and anti Lebron James factions emerging. Then you have Silas making the Boozer comment. Last month he's saying things to the effect of "I've done all I can do, it's up to the players now," etc. He wasn't exactly an inspiring figure. Hopefully the new owner will dump the GM Jim Paxson at the end of the year as I don't trust that guy with all of the free cap room we're going to have (Shawn Kemp anyone? :))

Did anybody ask Lebron who he wants in charge?
If so, insert that name ask the answer to the question.

The team is a mess, McInnis was benched for a reason not yet known to the public.

According to Sam Smith of the Chicago Tribune, "Consider the wheels officially off in Cleveland with LeBron James scoring 56 in Sunday's loss to Toronto, Jeff McInnis, a starter all season, benched after word leaked the Cavs probably won't re-sign him, and the bench scoring one point thanks to, basically, a six-man rotation.

Coach Paul Silas was fined by management last week for calling Carlos Boozer a sexually derogatory name when Boozer didn't make the Jazz trip to Cleveland. All this seemed to begin with new ownership, which includes R&B singer Usher, coming in and talking about a major makeover with players, coaches and management."

Not sure why Silas would bench someone if your team isnt going to resign him. It really did sound like everything went to hell.
