WTF? Is this how they are really going to be displayed now? How have I missed this?

Heh yup. I recall someone posting on here earlier. Looks dumb in my opinion. :)

Shouldn't they just have gone for the bonanza and called them the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, California"?

Crazyiness, I noticed this when they had a spring training game on ESPN.
The owner apparently thinks it will bring in a bigger market, or wanted to represent one at least.
I believe the city of Anaheim is suing about it also, but no clue if they have a leg to stand on.
Pretty ridicolous though.

There was a discussion on it a while back that went back and forth about whether Orange County is even a part of LA (it's not :p ). I think they did it for marketing purposes.

The suckiest part of it was when I had my first fantasy baseball draft and I was wondering for a few moments when did the Dodgers acquire Vladamir Guerrero and K-Rod.

Yeah, worst part is that the first game of the season looks like this:
LA v. Texas
Just awful.

Yeah, on TV the other day, it said LAA rather than ANA. So..I guess it's official. Officially stupid.
