The FOFC MLB contest (Prize$)

This just in, easy mac is insane, or just bored. But from this, you may get the chance to win a prize.

Here's the deal. Major League Baseball is about to start up again. So I propose a MLB pickem. Choose the division winners correctly for this year, the 2005 season, and you could win a prize.

Here's how to play.

Post your standings below.





Post how you team each team will finish (an example will be below).


The winner will be whoever picks the most division winners.


If there is a tie, the first tie breaker is most division runner-ups picked correctly.


If still tied, it will continue down each division place (3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th where applicable)


If somehow still tied, a random number will be picked by me, PM'ed to the member with the most posts who is not still in the running (so they don't think there is favoratism), then I will ask for the guesses, and whoever comes closest wins. Not scientific, but it works.


I will then mail the winner a video game (game below) via USPS Media Mail. I will also post the tracking # just so people don't claim I didn't send it.
What game you ask? Where here are the prize breakdowns.

First Prize - Major League Baseball 2k5 for Xbox or Playstation 2 (your choice) (MSRP $19.99) In the event this game is owned, a game of equal or lesser value will be chosen by the winner as a substitute (or if you are unlucky enough to own a game cube). If you don't play console games, then you're fucked and I'll just send you a $20, we'll work it out. I'm not rich people, this is a good will fun type of thing.

Second Prize - A music CD of your choice from yourmusic.com . It can only be a 1-disc CD, value being no more than $5.99 (or the rate at the site at the time).

Third Prize - Pride. Do you really deserve something for 3rd place? No. But congrats.


Also, if you live overseas (or not in the USA), we may need to work something out, since I think shipping would be killer, and our games won't work over there.



PRIZE WILL BE AWARDED AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE 2005 MLB REGULAR SEASON, MONDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2005. I WILL PUT A REMINDER IN THE CALENDAR JUST TO MAKE SURE I DON'T FORGET. YES, ITS A LONG TIME FOR A PAYOUT, BUT SO BE IT.

Any disputes will be posted in a new thread. Below is my filled out Division standings. If I win, I will award the prize to the second placed finisher. Please post them in a readable format, as I am doing an excel spreadsheet, so whatever you can do to make my life easier is great.
