When you press ctrl-alt-del, a list of processes appears that is quite lengthy. I can't imagine that all these processes are required. Does anyone know a way to 1) figure out what is necessary and 2) keep them from starting up automatically?

Bookmark it. It's a great list to check stuff that's running.

Haha. Now that's another issue entirely...
:D

BTW, no problem whatsoever. I found those some time ago, and I know they've been brought up on here before. They're great sites to have bookmarked and can help you identify some trojans and stuff as well if you have an issue.
