Bout damn time too....The more Bronco has been doing, the more excited I get. It's going to be a long summer for me as I anxiously await Cougar Football this year.
They are keeping the dark blue, but going back to the uniform most are familiar with.

Thank god. Maybe every team in college and NFL can now get rid of the awful two-tone uniforms?
Once that's done, then can we start on banning the monochromatic look?

Thats good that someone had the guts to go back retro. I hate the swoosh at the side of the uniform. Ugh. ND also needs to go back to their original looks, Instead of the almost black Jersey.

Can anyone send a memo to Oregon to go back to the old jerseys. Nebraska did, as did Tennessee. I take it sales are not what they are expected to be?

Dammit, it's getting more and more difficult to hate BYU. The Cougs and Miners really need to renew their old rivalry...

I would love to see it happen.
Hopefully, Bronco and Price can turn it up...We had to settle for a non con game with Eastern Illinois this year....although we open up at home with Boston College...
The one thing this administration is doing is listening to the fans, and actually responding as well......

UNLV has benefited from a new and revamped uniform a few years back. It looks just like
the Jets Unis except its red and silver.

As a BYU fan in College Football, I applaud this because this "traditional" uniform is the true one that I want to see the players wear.
However, since that news was published on April 1st...I wonder if we're not in April fool's territory here...You know, I work in the field of communication and we never send press releases on April 1st because people always wonder, especially if this is an important news.
Now, if only the 49ers could return to their past uniforms as well....

A Niner fan couldn't agree more.

Problem is, it seems our AD would rather schedule D-II patsies to open up the year rather than a decent D-I team. And with our annual game against NMSU and a full CUSA schedule, that doesn't leave a lot of open games for the Miners.
I really love what Bob Stull has done for the UTEP Athletic Dept, but his scheduling practices leave a lot to be desired...

A very clean, classic look. I vote: GOOD MOVE!

It is a disturbing trend. The only possible exceptions are white/white and black/black in my opinion.

White/white has been around a long time (as a traditional away unis) but black/black???

Naw it has been talked about for the past several weeks on the boards about it. All the players have had t-shirts with the old Y logo on them and Bronco has been teaching a lot about the history of BYU.
They have been using the theme of Respect the Past, and look to the Future (Or something like that)
Granted, they released on April Fools Day, which I thought was funny, but it was because they have the major scrimmage on for today if I remember correctly.
Also, just found out, Yesterday was Alumni Day, and they had a closed scrimmage for all the players of the past...Bronco extended some 1700 invites, I don't know the number that showed, but a lot of them are happy they are included.

I love the traditional look, but would have been ok with last years Uniforms if they had gotten rid of that stupid tan trim!! Still the classic unis bring back some good memories of the glory days and the QB assembly line, Gifford Nielson, Marc Wilson, Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Ty Detmer, John Walsh Steve Sarkesian, and hopefully now John Beck.

I second that Jeeber, especially now that Price is there and the rivalry would actually be competitive.. :D

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of basketball. There used to be some fierce battles back in the day... ;)
And I still hate Kevin Nixon to this very day. Bastard stole the WAC Tournament title from us...

Oh yeah,, I forgot there was more to Collegiate sports than Football :) Those were some fierce battles in the Wac though. Utah, BYU, New Mexico and UTEP were all usually in the mix in Basketball.

Hey,
They are talking about a new bowl game right now that would pit the MWC vs the WAC.
It would take place at Qualcomm, they almost have everything worked out for it...
If this flies, we might see our matchup JeeberD
