Does anyone know at what point in the game do you lose the 3rd round pick for being over the salary cap?

I'm probably wrong, but would it be if you are over the cap when the "End Season" button is pressed?

I hope so, I took over a team today in the IFL that was about $14 million over. We're at the first day of free agency, and I still have my pick. I'm hoping to be under the cap soon, I've been pretty busy trading players today.

You lose a 3rd round pick if you are over going into the draft, after the draft and after training camp. Fox example if are over into the 2005 draft you lose 3rd in 2005. If you are still over after the draft you lose 3rd round in 2006. If you are still over after camp you lose 3rd round in 2007. In 2006, if you are over into the draft, lose 3rd in 2008, if still over lose 2nd in 2007, after camp it would be 2nd in 2008. Haesh penalties the NFL should propose.
