Yeah, I've got a pretty good sized garden out back, and like a dumb ass all of last years plant material is out there, including several dozen bags worth grass clippings and leaves and other stuff. Oddly enough I've never burned what was out there in the past, but I'd like to this season before I plant the garden, which means it got to happen soon. Anyone out there have any advice, besides burning down the house and posting pics? :)

not sure if you have any covenants, but you might want to make sure it is legal to burn a debris pile. I'm not allowed to burn anything on my property, but there is a spot they allow us to take stuff, and once a quarter there is a big ole burn.

Don't burn the weed. Sell it.

The important thing to remember when burning anything (but especially dried yard waste) is that it can and will get out of control faster than you can imagine.
Have a hose ready.

Rent a big tiller and til it all under; it'll be great for the garden. (A load of horse poop would help a lot too.)

Make sure there isnt any poison ivy mixed in, that can cause serious problems.
Oh and dont forget to bring a towel.
