Maybe you should be picking up the Chinese takeout instead of posting about how you screwed up your gf's dinner.

I don't know why they call it Hamburger Helper. . . It's good on its own.

3BR is a room, ro thats not fonna work. GF wasnt cookin' cuz she stained a hutch all day today and that sucked, and 3R had to make hummus for Middle eastern day at work tomorrow (Office anyone?) and it tasted like shite so she's picking some up on her way to work in the mornin' :)

Speaking as a rabid foodie, this thread makes me sad.

An HH/TH hint: cut up a fresh tomato or two to add to the pot. May need to cut back the liquid a bit or simmer longer with the lid off (tomato adds some liquid), but will bump up the taste and nutrition factors quite a bit without increasing the prep time noticably.

My cooking skills have actually regressed since I married my wife. I was always a bit lost in the kitchen, but was able to cook some meals like spaghetti or macaroni. I can barely do that now. Thank goodness my wife likes to cook, or we'd all starve or go broke eating out.

I like how some of the soup cans have a picture with the soup in a bowl and it says "Serving Suggestion." Yeah, THANKS...I was gonna put it on a plate.

I swear that is where most of my money goes ESPECIALLY now that GF's income is essentially zilch. Thats the thing about real estat, if you can go with no income in the begining you hope to make a lot of money on the back end. In the meantime though, sucks for my wallet.

I had a boss at the drugstore I worked at in high school who put a danish or donut or something in the microwave for 25 minutes instead of 25 seconds once. The stockroom smelled awful the entire day.
Also, ditto wolfpack on the cooking thing. I could fend for myself at least a little bit when I was single, now I can barely figure out how to turn the oven on. It happened so fast too...

I came home last night and the wife had prepared roasted chicken and mashed potatoes, with a cucumber salad.
There's nothing better than a wife that loves to cook, and is pretty good at it.
