I turned my computer on today and the colors looked "off" The screen was on but less bright, all colors were more dull and red wont show up at all. It looks like a dark brown. For instance the Smilies you can use to post here, I cant see "red face", "embarrassment" and only the teeth in "mad". I can see yellow the best of any color.
Tried restarting of course, tried reinstalling my vid card drivers, played with the manual colors on my monitor. Nothing has fixed it.
I know its not much information to go on, but does anyone have an idea?

I did try doing that using my vid card's control center. Couldnt find a stand alone one in Windows XP tho.

That means the acid you took was good.

did you try using a different monitor? Sounds like a problem I had with my work computer. The solution was to bring in a new monitor and it worked fine.

Either the monitor is starting to fail OR
check to make sure the monitor is plugged completely into
the electrical outlet. I've seen cases where the plug has become pulled
halfway out and because of the power difference the colors fade.
Is this a flat panel or CRT monitor?
