View Full Version : Title Bout Boxing game question
Does anyone know what the status is of the next version of Title Bout (the one with career play)? About a year ago there was an estimate of 7 months before release, which based on the previous release would mean sometime in 2011. :D Just wondering if anyone has any better idea of when (or if) it might be released.

there was actually a discussion that the next version may not have a true career play which would be very disapointing.

Wow, that would be a major let down.

Eek, hadn't heard that.
Uhh, what exactly would the next version have then?
That would suck.

The next version, TB2, will not have career. But they are working on the RP game.

Thanks for the confirmation. Guess I'll mark that off my list of potential buys.

That is definitely a bummer. I was really looking forward to that. I don't see the point in them putting out another version until that is ready. Anything else is probably going to be minor tweaks to the engine and more people in the database.

Well, I can tell you there will be a lot more than just minor tweaks and more people in the DB. I'm sure I'm not allowed to get into all the new stuff in detail because I'm on the beta team. But if you're only interested in career play, no matter how much they add into it won't mean anything to you so I guess it doesn't matter. :)
I for one and really looking forward to TB2.

This disappointed in this as well. The last couple of versions were also supposed to have career play.

I think TBCB was a nice step up from TF2001, except that you could grab things
from the access db in TF2001 really easy. It will be 'interesting' to see what they
are doing for the next version if career is not going to be a part of it.
For hardcore boxing fans i guess career play is not a must, but for most of us, text sims hardcore fans, there is no point on a game without career mode. I really miss a boxing sim like the old world boxing manager or something named like that. It was so simple but fun enought, now i cna only dream about a carrer game with the boxing sim that tbcb has that is awesome, too bad it's not going to be a reality anytime soon and mybe not anytime ever.

Icy pretty much summed it up -- without career mode, the game is pretty much pointless to me. I'm a gamer, not a boxing fan, so maybe I'm just not the target audience. I'll just add my disappointment to the list. Then again, that's sort of the track record of this particular game on PC, so I'd be lying if I said this was a surprise.

I am a fan of the game and i have played it alot. I like what it does now. I think its a great boxing sim as it is. Without career play i am not sure what "features" will be there for me to buy it again. Career play with the current sim would make such an awsome game. Multiplayer FOFC League would be awsome. maybe one day
